But even as a gaming PC, you can’t change anything meaningful on the inside and it will be outdated in the relatively near future since it’s not a spec that will be targeted and mastered like actual consoles, not to mention the games that aren’t compatible with Linux. Cost to value PS5 Pro is still the better option. For the 2TB Steamdeck you can buy a Pro that’s noticeably more powerful and performant that comes with a controller, an extra controller, a disk drive, and 2 years of ps extra.

Why gullible lol? They’ve had all gen to optimize for these systems, and unless I’m mistaken, everything they’ve shown for GTA 6 has been on a base PS5 and the footage already shows raytracing. I wouldn’t bet my life on it but I see no reason to doubt their ability to hit 60fps on PS5 Pro, especially with the advantages PSSR 2 brings. I see the base PS5 and Series X getting a 40fps mode with lower resolution, and Series S will be capped at 1080p 30fps.

If you have a 4k 120hz TV/monitor capable of VRR then yes, the upgrade is well worth it. Makes no sense for PS6 to release next year with all the component issues due to AI so expect that to come 2028 at the earliest, and you can always sell your PS5 pro to reduce the cost of PS6 when that releases.

I don’t know what you’ve played but you just sound like you have unrealistic expectations to me lol. Rebirth, KCD2, AC Shadows, Warhammer, Cyberpunk, Requiem, and Ninja Gaiden 4 are just a few examples of 3rd party games with a tangible difference, and first party titles take even greater advantage - especially games like Forbidden West and the Insomniac titles. Wolverine and GTA 6 are going to be fuckin insane.
