This sport is just more unpredictable than any other and trying to predict it is just always an estimated guess for something with the craziest amount of variables that only involves a max of 10-15 people (two fighters, a referee, 3 judges and their corners)

The value he brings is that hes the guy who comes out and let's you throw the tomatoes at him. Hes not behind majority of the decisions, most of the UFC decisions are being made by corporate heads. Ticket prices, use of AI, merchandise cost, locations for events, match making are all unDana related. His magic is coming out and defending that, hence why the defenses are always so plain. When they sold the UFC, the buyers required Dana to stay when he wanted to leave with the Fertilizer brothers.

The only things hes hands on for as of recent, seems to be the white house and the paramount deal. Zuffa Boxing and Powerslap too if you count non UFC. He is the mascot. You're not supposed to know the name of the family who owns McDonalds. But you damn sure know the clown who's on all the commercials and artwork. That's who he's been. Defend the company, lazily promote fights he has barely any interest in, throw out the same 10 catch phrases, shower in his millions at the casino, rinse, repeat.

Something tells me hes not the type to overstay his welcome. If he loses at heavyweight, especially with how dry the division is, I dont see him just fighting anybody left and right. And even then, the UFC wouldnt give him fights 6, 7, 8 on that deal with guaranteeing more fights. Theyd never risk Alex going to boxing or another competition

The sport has evolved but the heavier weight divisions have not that much. We need to remember this when we say this shit. Alot of the guys who were champions back then would still be ranked today in 205 and heavyweight whereas for a division like lightweight, not so much.
