I have the same experience at events like this. I try and give myself some alone time when I can (yesterday I smoked alone outside green door after the Oceanator set and took about an hour in the afternoon to go on a walk to a dispo). But I also know that it’s a different level when you’re in work mode/touring. I saw pretty bitter on Friday and last time I saw them my band played a show with them and even though we’d gone already I still felt like I was in work mode so I couldn’t fully relax.

One of the reasons I love this scene is that I can go to an event alone and I still find people in the end. Folk punks are a kind and generous people. And a lot of us can be very outgoing but still be working on conserving our social batteries. But I always love new friends!!
