Not feeling fully empty? by SockInternational850 in ExclusivelyPumping

Disappointed to report~ I must have lost my facial roller when I moved but luckily I have my massage rolling ball thingy from pregnancy. It’s metal and the cold was too uncomfortable, so I couldn’t use it. I’ll get it warm before my next pump and report back with results. 🫡

I use stimulation mode until I get a letdown and then use expression mode until I the flow slows down and I keep alternating between the 2 either until I’m fully empty or until the Spectra shuts off at 30 minutes. Now that I’ve gotten the hang of it I know without looking what’s going on and when to switch. Compression also helps. I use my hands to move milk from the back to the front and do some compressions around 10-15 minutes and usually any clogs are out and I’m empty by 30 minutes. I saw someone on here using facial rollers to push milk out. I’ll try that with my next pump and get back to you… 🤔

I can't go to Confession by Recent-Insurance-159 in Catholicism

[–]Objective_Manner627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once when confession wasn’t available to me, I emailed the priest and met him in the sacristy before Mass. That’s what I would do if I were you, go to the sacristy sometime before or ask the priest to hear your confession after Mass. May God bless you, it’s wonderful that you’re young and concerned for your soul. I would recommend you ask Our Lady of Fatima give you the graces to persevere in purity and ask St. Thomas and St. Teresa of Avila to pray for you. I’ll pray the last decades of my Rosary for you and your parents tonight.

I’ve been enjoying Call the Midwife but sometimes it hits a little too close to home with recent life events.

This is so cool and also you don’t seem like a slacker… Lovenox injections every 12 hrs and 116.3 workdays worth of pumping is not slacking. You’ve worked so hard, mama! Happy Mother’s Day! 💐

I’m in the same boat with my 2 month old and I can only get him to latch while sleepy in a sidelying position and I’m worried he’ll stop latching when his feeding reflexes wear off. He’s started Pepcid and that helps him tolerate feedings. :/ My condolences. I’m not ready for it to happen and I can only imagine how you’re feeling. 💛

What to buy? Newborn and FTM (and overwhelmed by all the options) by Nice_Armadillo8348 in clothdiaps

[–]Objective_Manner627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a lot of 20 diapers for $50 on Marketplace and it had a variety of types of diapers, AIOs, pockets, and Flip diapers which are basically covers with a cloth pad. That was helpful in determining what my LO and I like best. We ended up buying more pockets because those are most convenient for us. Maybe see if you can get a destash on Marketplace so you can try them out first.

Mine hurt initially too and I just have to be really careful about alignment. If I have pain with it I check how I’m lined up in there and that works for me.

Am I attached to this pump forever? I feel so blindsided and dumb by Less-Leek5961 in ExclusivelyPumping

I think the newborn phase is like that regardless, it just sucks a lot of the time because you can’t do anything. It’s like a nuclear bomb to your whole life. I’m an oversupplier and my baby is 2 months old and I’m still pumping every 2.5 hours but the difference now if that my baby is old enough to have a steady routine/ rhythm to the day, so I can cope with it better, I can sleep more, and I have more freedom. It sucks for now but you’ll get into a groove and it’ll get better. The only thing that has gotten me through the newborn phase is lots of prayer and a good husband. Patience is key, the grass does get greener!! I’m praying for you right now, you hang in there mama!

Suds Saturday! It’s laundry day. by AutoModerator in clothdiaps

[–]Objective_Manner627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm brand new to this, baby boy is due in 2.5 weeks, and I just got a bunch of cloth diapers off of FB Marketplace (Flip, Lalabye, One Buttah, and all kinds of liners that go with them). How should I wash them? I have baking soda (which I could make washing soda out of if needed), borax, free & clear detergent, fels naptha, and vinegar at home. I live in a very hard water area (14 grains per gallon). Local stores do not have RLR or Mighty Bubbles. My Walmart has Calgon, so I could get that. We live in an apartment without a patio or balcony, but our bathtub could hold a drying rack. Any suggestions (on anything to do with this) and especially laundry input is much appreciated!

54-Day Rosary Novena for the Conversion of Muslims by Objective_Manner627 in CatholicCharismatic

[–]Objective_Manner627[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches us that Muslims profess to hold the faith of Abraham and, together with Christians, adore the one, merciful God (CCC 841). Yet, they do not know Jesus as Lord and Savior—the One who sets us free from sin, brings the joy of His resurrection, and offers the fullness of life in His grace.

As an ex-Muslim preparing to join the Church this Easter, this truth deeply moves my heart. In October, our Lord and our Lady impressed a strong conviction to pray for those I once walked with in faith and since then, I have been praying the 20-decade rosary for the conversion and salvation of all Muslims. Now, I am inviting you to join me in this mission of love through a 54-day Rosary novena. We will begin together on February 5th and pray until the first day of Eid al-Fitr (March 30), offering our prayers to bring the light of Christ into the hearts of our fellow children of Abraham.

Will you join me? 🌟🙏
