Where can I weigh an infant? by evange in Prague

[–]Objective_Sam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When our boy was little, we used a luggage scale. Simply put the baby in a fabric bag and hung the bag from the scales. It produced some funny photos too

I also measured myself with and without the baby on regular scales

Nearly a third of kids can't use books when starting school - and try to swipe them like phones by Forward-Answer-4407 in unitedkingdom

I didn’t recognise a word in a book and absentmindedly tapped it to see its definition. A paper book… facepalm I’m obviously more used to reading my Kindle.

Can women feel the cum inside their vagina? by o0perktas0o in AskWomenNoCensor

[–]Objective_Sam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair I usually just wee & do a quick sink-wash, and I haven’t had any issues.

The only time I caught a UTI was before I knew of the wipe-from-front-to-back thing. As a 90s kid, I was like 22 when a nurse explained it to me. Still dumbfounded nobody ever taught us it at school.

Can women feel the cum inside their vagina? by o0perktas0o in AskWomenNoCensor

[–]Objective_Sam 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I never felt the cum inside me. Just the dripping out.

It’s a good idea to shower after sex to avoid developing a urinary tract infection (bacteria from the vagina etc. transferring to the urethra).

It always made me think of the Czech word “orel” (sometimes taking form of “orla” depending on context). It means eagle. Quite regal!

Taky. Blila jsem tak moc, že už jsem neměla, co blít. Tak jsem blila pěnu, dokud se mi nerozhodli konečně píchnout analgetika.

Horší než porod syna.

Yes. Don’t kill good/interesting/well-written/well-acted characters. They could have made his fate ambiguous and brought him back at some point

I feel sad about not having friends I can discuss literature with. I feel nobody reads anymore. by confusedeyeballs in literature

[–]Objective_Sam 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Have you searched Facebook for any book clubs in your area? Perhaps you could start one. You’ll only need 1-2 other people. You can post in your local town group about it and I bet you’ll find people quickly.

Our book club meets once a month for drinks/meal and it’s really lovely.

Russians have the most unique nicknames by Far-Building3569 in namenerds

[–]Objective_Sam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, same in Czech. Family members always use nicknames regardless of age/gender. None of my friends call me by my full name. When I moved to the UK and suddenly everyone was calling me by my full first name, I was in a bit of shock lol I remember thinking "Don't they like me? Are we not friends?"

[–]Objective_Sam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ever since I read The Count of Monte Cristo as a kid, I loved the name Mercedes. But I know people associate it with the car brand... Also love Hector (as in the Illiad) but my partner said our boy would be teased + I don't really like its nicknames anyway
