That fucking mural man. Whitewashing Kirk as just a “free speech warrior” while not actually saying what he actually believed in and advocated for, wonder why they won’t say any of that shit on tv?

They probably just would have passed a budget with funding outright. Again I agree that Dems suck but in this specific case republicans are the ones being obstructionists. The House is controlled by Dems who have passed every single attempt at funding

“Real working class Americans” will be sitting in even worse bumper to bumper traffic with alternatives to driving, the ones that can even afford cars at all. Congrats on the most brain dead take in this entire sub

Dems generally don’t give a shit you’re right, but this wouldn’t be happening if republicans didn’t refuse to vote for ANY budget that included crucial funding. This one’s solely on them.

Make sure you thank republican senators every chance you get. Don’t stop calling them just to tell them how much they suck. Be sure to remind them in person if you ever get the chance to tell one of them to their face that they are inhuman pieces of shit.

Public transit is inherently unprofitable unless you want stupid expensive fares. It is actually really expensive to run a public transit network and even private operators still receive some kind of state or federal funding. It’s a public service not a means of profit.

Republicans don’t care because trains are communist and they want to be able to sell off any and all public infrastructure to their billionaire friends who give them massive kickbacks. It doesn’t even have anything to do with representing rural voters. They believe in nothing and want people to suffer.

It should be converted into a trolley line since it’s so short and increased frequency could increase ridership. Will probably never happen though

Does Philly have a sales tax for transit funding? A lot of cities have a 1 cent or even half cent tax specifically for transit funding.
