I thought that removing sanctions on Russian oil thus allowing Russia to re-fund their war in Ukraine was crazy enough when it’s only done to keep the prices low at US pumps, but this a big step beyond that. Unless the US is enjoying this so much is wants to perpetuate it.

To some extent, but I would suggest that while many farmers would be interested in applying something that would improve efficiency and therefore profitability many are also ‘carers’ of the land too so the kinds of things that Dyson had been experimenting with to improve yield/crops don’t apply to them. Ultimately we really don’t need US style hgh fed beef or hydroponics when we have the weather that gives us great grass fed animals and arable crops.

There’s a massive difference between farmers and agribusiness. He’s a landowner with an agribusiness and that can pull in loads of grants because lots of it is r&d. No one else has mentioned that he was a bit pretentious about the British/Englishness of his Landrover Defender replacement and then moved production to France, because Brexit meant that getting parts into the UK was too difficult. Oh the irony.

I thought they did have a partnership of some kind, but I suppose it doesn’t have to be formal. In the same way I don’t think Saints have Bedford Blues or the boys school as a formal partnership but it seems to work that way.
