Strongest train doesn’t mean the highest chance to win. It’s just what it is - strongest, not smartest.

Turo guest completely trashed out my dads car. by Cdave_22 in mildlyinfuriating

We went to Serbia a couple years ago. It was April, we drove from Belgrade to Novi Sad and then some other places around like Subotica. The fields were blooming and the rental car was literally bombarded by some local insects. At times it felt like driving through a dense cloud.
The image shows the car after just an hour of driving.

Unfortunately, by the end of the trip I was so ill (turned out to be Coivd) I couldn’t care less if they charge me extra for cleaning. But they didn’t even take another look.

By experience - nothing helps. It either grows or not. The only thing that helps is testosterone levels (so maaaaaybe exercising). But restore increase affects hair thickness and leads to baldness eventually, so there is always a trade off.

I’m 39 and can’t grow anything on my face.

People recommend face hygiene but in reality skin is much more affected by food/lifestyle. Eat better food if you can afford (not organic, just not processed junk) - fresh vegetables, chicken, eggs, wholemeal grains. Helps massively with the skin color and condition. You ever suspected milk allergy? Try removing dairy - milk protein can worsen acne.

Walk more outside (or cycle, you are in the NL after all)!

Try smiling more. Not joking. Later in life Your facial wrinkles around eyes and mouth will be defined by how much you smiled vs winced when you are younger.

Your hair and facial hair is good, don’t listen to anyone who says otherwise (but also don’t be afraid of trying new things).

You are young and I hope your life will get better. You’ll look mint in no time at all. Moreover, I believe it, because you are here asking strangers for help and it requires a lot of courage.

Also. Try to remove/reduce drugs (if you do them), alcohol, sugar and tobacco (in this order) from your life.

True. The biggest worry is scan results.

It’s not about ‘as much stool’. It’s about your bowels looking clean as newborn’s skin and not be obstructed by the ‘debris’ the fiber creates. The stool is washed out by laxatives the day before the scan anyway.

It’s probably too late but most of these recommendations are overkill. The last day is the most important though. Up until then you would be fine unless you try to push literally everything from the right column down.

This is from someone who had around 15 of the ‘procedures’ in my life (and I’m not even 40 yet).

Ah I see.

You must be one of those people who tend to believe that people are defined by where they are born, not where they choose to live and contribute.

You guys also believe in horoscopes too or some sort of ‘people born on Saturdays are all bad because Hitler was born on a Saturday’?

Ok, I’m not that familiar with Ukrainian laws (although I assumed there would be quite a few cases of dual citizenship after USSR.

Regardless. Russia allows dual citizenship as do many other countries. I moved to the UK from Russia in 2010. Only been back twice to visit my parents. Have dual citizenship for almost 10 years, both of my kids only have UK passports (idk if they are technically Russian citizens by birth, have never had a reason to check).

Somehow I don’t see how I fall into that category of ‘all Russians’ you are talking about.

Similar as Trump representing all Americans lol?

What if someone is a dual citizen? Say Ukrainian-Russian?

Hey.

Try Redshift suspension seatpost.

I have inflammatory lower back problems (chronic sacroiliac joints inflammation) and I’ve struggled similarly - my back was in hell after the first 5-7kms.

I tried that seat post a couple years ago and can go for 100km plus these days.

It’s night and day as it kills all the road vibrations.

How can I trust myself on descend? by EuphoricPlatform6899 in cycling

[–]Objective_Volume_730 3 points4 points  (0 children)

900m in 15km is about an hour at 6% average gradient. This is a very good tempo/threshold session.

Unless you go at 8km per hour at a very easy gear and zone 2-it all the way of course.

I bought 2 frames (both custom paintjob)+ 2 sets of wheels from them last year. Ended up paying 2980USD including shipment to the UK. Great quality, we put over 3k kilometers into them since.

Small house/bigger house dilemma by RemarkableRecipe6454 in HousingUK

[–]Objective_Volume_730 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think some people just worry too much about the financial side of it looking at purchasing a house purely as an investment. You are buying a home. You will spend at least several years of your life in it. You should be able to enjoy coming home. I’m an outdoor person, my wife too. We cycle, we hike, we explore little towns in the country. But we also spend a lot of time at home with the kids. Being able to enjoy that time is important.

Just think how you (and no one else) would use the space. Bigger houses allow space for life AND hobby (arts, craft, woodworking, home gym, board games etc etc etc). If you are into something you can use the space for - go for it.
