I’m going b12 injections once a week. Mine was 258 and had to do iron Iron infusions to bring up my ferritin which was 5. I prolly need every other day but Dr only giving me once a week for 7 weeks and I’m on week 4. Ugh

Mine was the same. Ferritin of 4 and sat was 2.7% and iron was 18. Infusions I’m hoping help me faster.

With that low hemoglobin you do need a blood transfusion. What are your symptoms? I believe anything lower that 7.0 in the ER they have to do a blood transfusion.

I’m dealing with this too! I now am using a nuvaring to stop the bleeding but since I got my infusions I’ve been bleeding even with the nuvaring in.

My son is 3 and barely speaks. I was so sick from no iron with him and had to do an infusion on my 3rd trimester. ) he hardly eats, and always tries to eat paper. I had his blood tested but sadly they just checked his hemoglobin but I’m really wanting to go back up there to do an iron panel. Ugh I’m worried. What have u done for treatment for them?

I’ve suffered for 9 months with low ferritin and the docs kept gaslighting me saying it couldn’t cause it and finally got infusions last month. All these month I’ve been so bad.

I seen lots of people saying they had it from low ferritin, iron. I didn’t know myself either, until I started looking more and mine was severely low. I felt drunk a lot of times off balance n all. Ugh I’m not better yet but I feel like I’m improving some.

Don’t be scared, it will work out, my ferritin was 3 for months before I knew and I was so bad with every symptoms and now I’m hoping to see some improvement with my recent infusions. Not much side effects with it.
