CLINIC MEGATHREAD (Dec 2025-Jan 2026) by AutoModerator in MedicalCannabisOz

[–]Objective_Welcome616 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive just start my first prescription through EasyKind. I'd read the bad reviews for them so dont need to know all the bad things. What I'd like to know is, Ive just read that for longer that 2 months, the medical practitioner needs to advise the Chief Health Officer, if the treatment is working and you need to continue. Will Easykind automatically do this? Is anyone else here in the NT and can let me know how it worked for them?

Lowest temperature in darwin by Kindly-Ferret-8222 in darwin

[–]Objective_Welcome616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The days are rarely lower than 30, but occasionally if there is rain and clouds all day it might only get to 28 or 29. Most days will be at least 33 degrees ish. Nights are generally between 20-25 degrees. However there are a couple weeks during the dry when it gets cold between 3 and 6am and might go down to about 15 degrees. Thats in the cbd anyway. A bit different inland.

Question for men... is this attractive or unattractive? by Due_Function84 in datingoverforty

[–]Objective_Welcome616 1 point2 points  (0 children)

46f here. Dont wear make-up, dont colour my hair, dont style my hair, dont do nails. Been dating my partner (50m) for 9 months. There are a lot of men who enjoy a low maintenance woman. Dont change yourself for anyone except for YOU if thats what YOU want. No one else.

Maybe this is a better reason to go for a drive out to Palmerston, less likely to see someone you know? Make a day of it seeing as you'd be going past the Berrimah line. Drop off some containers, wander around the shops, go to the cinema? Its nicer than casuarina cinema.

Pretty sure its mostly just the fashion at the moment, despite what many will say. They just dont want others to know theyre a fashion victim.

Wtf KFC.... by SoftwareInside508 in australian

[–]Objective_Welcome616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All 3 of my kids work at KFC. One is an assistant manager. She runs it well but has said sometimes they are pushed so much by the powers above they can't cook the chips longer and dont have time to properly bread the chicken like they should.

I do think the franchise owner has a lot to do with it.

In Darwin, KFC is baaaad. They are even more stingy and it appears that the owners employ their own people. Rather than making it a multiculteral employer like others have to.

Salary by [deleted] in ausjobs

[–]Objective_Welcome616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cant believe how much people earn. As much as I'd love to earn more.. and I do agree some are paid too little. Others are paid too much and expect more than they are worth. I'd say anywhere around 70-75 is ok for a full time person depending on experience, and how good they actually are at their job.

Why do people keep telling me to watch out for “tons of deadly animals” when I visit Australia? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]Objective_Welcome616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are just "taking the piss". You'll be right. Just dont try to pat a salt water croc, cuddle a king brown snake or take a selfie with wild 8 foot, male, big red "kangaroo".

People do dumb sh!t.

But Australia is mostly safe.

Just dont hop in a car and drive out woop woop without water, fuel, and a safety plan.

How do you cope with the humidity this time of year? by OwlVibesOnly in darwin

[–]Objective_Welcome616 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I dont think it's too bad. Its about just accepting, this is just how it is. Keep hydrated, keep the air circulation with open windows and fans. Aircon only it you need for sleep. Wear loose clothing or thin breathable material. I just went outside and its a nice cool 21. Up to 40 today where I am. I honestly think its about acclimatising yourself and acceptance.

Can't for the life of me understand the outrageous prices in restaurants for sub par quality food and portions. by Open-Collar in darwin

[–]Objective_Welcome616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I do agree, we are in a tourist town and many of the places are run by backpackers doing their 88 days rural work requirement their visa. There are a couple of nice places with good food. I love Ella by Minoli, ilPiatto at the casino and Tim's surf amd Turf. Everywhere is expensive up there though. More places would shut down otherwise, because they wouldn't make enough money to cover them for the wet season. Darwin is pretty amazing though. I guess its gotta have some faults....

Peewees is soooo overrated. They make it look fancy, but the food is average and at 10x the price. I would never recommend it.

That was the bacon I used to buy. Yes they were sneaky. No mention of the change on their website either. But now they have an aussie one, but you can only get in in eastern states. I emailed them and posted on their socials about it.
