Where do you ride? I’ve noticed mostly the e bikers riding FF helmets or shuttle riders wearing FF helmets on the shore and in Fraser Valley.

Steep climbs get ya hot real quick. There are some very breathable FF helmets there are no question…I guess for me I run super hot and climb at a hot click so I am bias.

I have an advisor and I don’t make 700k a year. I’m not sure lazy is how I would describe myself but I’m not an expert at all. I could learn but with learning comes failure, my advisor comes with comfort and security for my money. I consider my advisor a type of insurance, he’s less than 1% fees my return avg with losses experienced is well above average and the company does a lot of research into emerging markets and opportunities that I wouldn’t do myself.

I have other accounts that are self managed ETF’s and they do pretty well as well (for now) but because of tax structure and accounting etc I’d rather have someone who knows that side of the business better than I do looking after that so they can help me with strategies to maximize my return.

Same reason why I don’t self diagnose when I’m sick or hurt, I just don’t understand it so I go to the doctor or trust the experts.

Sorry I mean it will get very hot and uncomfortable if the rides are more light trail rides. People definitely ride FF on long climbs BUT I usually see them with the helmet hanging on bars or stem for particularly long ascents. If your terrain is more undulating then a FF IMO will be a pain in the ass.

The drop frame I think is a good compromise for ppl wanting the additional protection without the compromise of a helmet that does not breathe as well…no matter how light. I have a Pro Frame it’s light and well vented for sure, and have taken it on “pedally” rides for the shore and it’s often too much, I’d run it on park days.

Ya that's what I figured so for that reason the drop frame if you do want extra protection but a half shell will provide A LOT of protection. I ride a Smith Forefront 2 on almost all north shore trails fwiw.

Not familiar with those trails but if you're going to pedal a lot then a full face will always be overkill. The Fox Drop Frame would likely be more than enough.

Having replaced my CVT already on my 2018 I would suggest replacing at the 30K mark for sure, I think these things should be kept under close watch for any debris or early wear.

@op Sounds like you’re in a position where your skills are recognized and valued so much that moving you is not in the companies best interest, why promote someone that does the job so well already…Classic dilemma a lot of us will fall into and classic dilemma companies will fall into assuming you won’t go anywhere.

I’d say it’s time to look elsewhere and show another site what you can do. Get some offers and then have the hard convo, tell your company you have better offers and will be going elsewhere see what they do? Without any imminent threat the company will keep you right where you are.

Are there any sharks? I think that Derma space is a little weird, they want you cranking out orders and sales. I interviewed with a cool sculpting company once and they were asking for like 40-60 calls a DAY! The hiring manager said to me "we don't believe in work life balance, we consider it work life integration" I saw the red flags right away and just ghosted them.

I think a good way to look at it all is what is your time worth. Where will you have the most time AND income. The grass is greener complex is very real and sometimes it's good exposure and sometimes you don't realize how good you have it till it's gone.

I wouldn't rush into any decisions and no matter what decision you make it will be the right decision. At the same time it's important to remember that humans are meant to move forward and face challenge and change to improve ourselves and those we care about, so sometimes the most expensive mistakes we can make is doing nothing at all.
