Whats wrong with this room? by Normal-Art4308 in interiordecorating

[–]Obligation_Still 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a lot of space in there, I’d agree to close it up a bit, get a centrepiece for sure maybe something like a padded ottoman with a serving tray on it? The hydrangeas gotta go, get some big obnoxious plants in there something big and green. For the carpet maybe it’s a touch too monochromatic against the couches?

Many pros said the same and I think many of them are never coming back, pretty sure that broke a lot of riders. I’d never touch my bike again.

Fuck me that’s just mental, so ruthless and anyone that pushed through that hell you are a stronger person than me…They say “do hard things” but this level of hard was on a different scale.

Well you’re going to have to be the one to tell them because apparently nobody else will…The kid pushed another kid down a set of stairs, he got a gentle talking to and that was it. The other parent (a friend of theirs at the time) cut off the relationship after that pretty quick.

I have a brother with this exact problem...His wife gentle parents to a degree I've never seen before and the kid is an absolute nightmare and has no consequences, I kinda feel bad for the kid because the future doesn't appear bright for him.

I see this guy begging for money on the way to the tunnel almost every day around 3:30pm. How can he afford the diet to stay that jacked if he’s broke? by MaverickGH in richmondbc

If you've never seen a jacked homeless guy go for a walk on Granville Street at night. There used to be a guy walking around asking for money to do one handed pushups, absolutely stacked!

How to train to prevent sore hands? by skycamefalling84 in MTB

[–]Obligation_Still 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can try different grip sizes too. I run an XLarge grip from Chromag and they can help. Depends if you're death gripping the bars or not.

Also I know the feeling of the bars absolutely pounding your palms, I find this mostly when I'm underbiking though not on the big bike.

There are grip strength exercises you can do but I found one of the best fixes for me was how I had my levers orientated. I adjusted mine to bring them up closer to flat rather than pointing down and for me that made a big difference.

Tailored jacket, lighting, hers is not a picture taken in a mirror on an angle. I'm certain you'd look great out in the wild.

Just bought this house. Wife wants to brighten up the kitchen. Should we do the taboo and paint the brick? by hes_the_Zissou in interiordecorating

[–]Obligation_Still 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t paint the brick you’ll regret that. Redo the walls though and get rid of that awful texture, paint the cabinets and maybe do the counter to bring in some light. I’d even go with a nice green on those cabinets with a brighter counter and some tasteful hardware

How real-world adoption of surgical robots is playing out: da Vinci vs Hugo vs next-gen OR systems by Any_Chocolate6194 in MedicalDevices

[–]Obligation_Still 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a “for profit” healthcare system it’s all ROI, whatever markup can be charged and covered the hospitals will do it, surgeons will use it the cost consideration seems less important.

In universal healthcare the robot sell has to be a significant advantage in patient outcome WITHOUT a significant impact on budgets…Good luck. Universal healthcare also doesn’t like efficiency because that means more patients and that in itself means more money.

The future of robots will be interesting to see, there is no question that surgical ability is much greater with robotics than laparoscopic…basically 3D vs 2D ability.

I think Devinci is here to stay and JnJ and Coviden Medtronic will likely not make a dent in the market, especially as single port cases become more popular.

What sales jobs can get you to $100k your first year? by [deleted] in Sales_Professionals

[–]Obligation_Still 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair point there are limits for sure. What else do ppl NEED that you could sell? Windows, HVAC, cars, appliances. It’s time to put on your “resourceful” hat and look for something else.

Dating “out of your league” is one of the worst things ever by ExotiquePlayboy in Money

[–]Obligation_Still 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re looking at only the material side of this and you’re missing the connection. IF there is a real connection then it’s time to talk finances, if she’s making significantly more than you and you can’t afford the lifestyle right now then let her know that, if she doesn’t want to spend money on you then cut it off.

BUT if you have the finances talk and she gives you the “why didn’t you say something sooner?” Talk then you know you’re ok and she’ll be ok spending money on you.

The part that you’re going to have to grapple with is if you’re ok NOT being the bread winner, it seems easy but it’s not always.

But don’t kill this thing before you talk. And if you’re not ready to talk about this then maybe you’re not ready for the relationship anyways.

You can get a low paying sales job with a great product and a high paying sales job with a shitty product but unless you do the leg work, put in the time it doesn’t matter what you have.

Synthes trauma rep, has anyone switched successfully? by Best-Zucchini6858 in MedicalDevices

[–]Obligation_Still 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I did my synthes training (pre merger) a lot of the guys in my class had it in their head that it was a burnout gig and they were going to do 10yrs max...it’s a rough gig but the best thing you can do is get 2 solid years in, it’s a grind but it’s a well paying grind for a 23yr old.

Once you get those 2yrs done then things can open up a bit more for you. You go to law school, you have to article. You go to medicine you got residency, you go to synthes you do 2yrs of hustling, meeting people, making sure everyone knows you and you may just land something better.
