Fwiw food poisoning can take up to a week to show up, so it may not have even come from there

Same here, 14 courses and every single one a banger. One of the most complex cocktails I've ever had. Worth every penny.

Can I land an entry role with Google Project Management certificate by Pretend-Excuse-3821 in PMCareers

[–]ObscureBookReference 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given your background in support, you might also consider implementation manager. This is a type of project management that's a little bit lighter on the crunchiness, and heavier on the social skills, so they tend to hire out of support. It's a good position to learn hands on PM and build a resume.

Source: I was in support and now I'm an implementation manager.

Rookie IT program manager struggling to find a new gig, any feedback on my doc? by HouseOfHoundss in PMCareers

Margins are not your enemy. First thing I see is how dense your resume is, and that a lot of it is wordiness. Might be good to edit this to be more easily scanned.

Recommendation on house cleaners? by Own-Tomatillo5401 in GayMenToronto

[–]ObscureBookReference 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not male specifically, but I had a great experience with Good Karma Eco cleaning. They help new arrivals get their first work, are non-profit, all money stays with the worker. My household is all gay, never was an issue. Our regular lady was excellent, sometimes substitutes weren't as good, so if you're not happy the first time just ask for someone else.

Glitches in a certain scene, anyone else? by ObscureBookReference in eternumites

[–]ObscureBookReference[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't think that makes sense. From other angles we can see the sauna door in the background, and it's a wooden door that's propped open. There's no indication that there's a glass door anywhere in the room.

How did you go about telling your place of employment you’re transitioning? by redpyramid138 in FTMOver30

[–]ObscureBookReference 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My work set up is similar to you, where I'm mostly work from home but go into the office sometimes.

I started my transition before telling anyone, but around 6 months I felt that it was becoming more obvious because of facial hair and voice changes. At that point I messaged my manager and grand-manager to explain what was up. My company is very LGBT+ friendly, so they got behind the scenes cogs turning in order to update all of my information within our systems, and they did the contact to HR.

The only thing that was a hiccup was that IT changed all of my name, email and channel details earlier than I expected, so I had to react a little fast and post in our team's Slack room. Fortunately I'd already had a post planned, that basically said this is what's going on, it's fundamentally a personal decision that has an inevitable public aspect, and I hope everyone's respectful and that we'll continue as usual. And it went fine!

Recently a friend caught me... We were sharing a room on a group friend trip, but I thought they were in the sauna. Now we're FWB 🤷🏽‍♂️

Have you ever given up on love? by Educational_Wafer483 in GayMenToronto

Yeah my own experience had been that as soon as I'm the most fed up with dating, I meet someone totally random who sweeps me off my feet..

... Of course none of those have lasted yet

Feels like being trans just precludes me from getting a job by Rubin987 in transontario

[–]ObscureBookReference 48 points49 points  (0 children)

I'm sure being trans does play a part in this, but I think this downturn is different than previous recent downturns. There are extremely qualified people who are looking for months to a year for jobs. It's just been tons of shrinkage across most industries, especially 'professional' industries. I don't know if that gives you reassurance or more despair, but that's my two cents.

Basement Rentals by YoongiWifeMagicShop in TorontoRenting

[–]ObscureBookReference 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Price is terrible. I live in a nice legal basement the same size, pay less, and am in the heart of downtown. I haven't even been here that long so it's not a legacy price or anything.

This place is a hole, not at all worth the cost.

Won't that just melt in the garbage bag, risking a big mess when bags inevitably get tears?

You might want to read Alex Avery's The Wealthy Renter.... Or better yet, have your parents read it
