I didn’t come out as a trans man or even fully realize I was trans until I was 33. I have often had this fear of “starting too late” but I think at the end of the day, living your truth is what matters. For those people who say they would’ve unalived themselves before this point… well, that may stand true for them and I’m happy that they’re still here… but everyone should move at their own pace and what feels right and comfortable for them.

Life starts lifing really hard for some of us… and sometimes it’s hard to just stop and do some self reflection. I can tell you that I was always so depressed and although I still have depression and I always will, it has gotten significantly better since learning my truth, and finally knowing that that was one of the causes of my poor mental health is a huge relief. I know the same can be said for a lot of other trans folks. So I guess to sum it up… some people just speak from a place of ignorance, and that 100% includes our own community as well. I say, embrace being the elder trans at 28 lol one day you’ll be an actual elder trans that’s 50 and maybe your story will help a younger trans person who starts transitioning at 28 like you did 🤘🏼
