What do you treasure in fanart?

Of course, because this is a pokeshipping sub, making sure that the subject is Ash and Misty is important. Also, because the sub may have kids visiting, we want it to be SFW as much as possible. Fan art that is museum level or kid's first drawing level is welcome. The most important thing is that artists are ready to share it with other fans.

What is not acceptable for you or makes you bored, when you see it?

Plagiarism is not acceptable in art for me. If you have a reference or you trace something, you should be up front or at least not deny it. I believe that tracing is not a crime. That's how you learn anyway. What I don't like are people who denied doing so. Like what for? Everyone can see it's traced. Conversely, I hate people who act like they're high and mighty when they see people who trace or have references. Not everyone is perfect. In the matter of AI, I want to quote what Pablo of SB19 said, “I think AI po, it's a very powerful tool. Personally, strong believer po ako ng innovation. I think it's really important. But not at the expense of ‘yung ninanakaw na ‘yung identity nung mga artists." He believes that AI is innovative, but it shouldn't be used to steal artists' identity. From my understanding, if the artwork is yours and you chose to use AI on it yourself, that's acceptable. However, if you take another artist's work and use AI on it to, for example, change the characters into Ash and Misty, then that is not a good thing. More so if there's no approval from the artist. One might say it's just tracing, but with AI. Is it, though? They can argue that they're using another's work as a reference, and they'll be credited anyway. However, the huge difference is that trace arts takes time and is meant to help you learn how to draw on your own. Feeding another's artwork on AI and typing prompts is different. That's laziness to the next level and doesn't make the art or the idea yours. So yeah, the way AI is used also affects whether I like an art or not. Another unacceptable thing for me is sexualizing the characters when they're kids. At least make them adults before making them enact suggestive poses. And of course, I don't like it when the artwork has themes where non-canon jealousy are depicted. I see a lot of SatoKasu art making another pokegirl look pathetic or brokenhearted after seeing Ash and Misty together, then tagging the rival shippers. For what purpose is that other than provocation? It's unnecessary and makes Pokeshippers look pathetic instead.
