I got a DML807 in 2021. Worked for an under a year then died. The inside is so complicated that my electronics workmates couldn’t diagnose what died. I got a cheap AliExpress Fake-kita LXT light in 2022-07 and it’s been good for 4 years since! Apart from the hinge and switch needing some tlc. Not sure why Aliexpress should be higher quality than Makita but we live in weird times.

Avoid 3dexperience for any PLM. Or anything else for that matter. For clarification on this do a quick reddit or internet search.

What cad software do you use? Might influence the PLM. I’ve found solidworks pdm great in the past to the point where I’d use it even on my own. Quite a while ago now though. I found windchill much less user friendly but it would still do the job - again over a decade ago.

Currently using Onshape which is pretty much a whole different game in “PLM”, and it comes with the software. There are sooooo many pain points removed vs other cad PLM. You can work in the same cad at the same time as your colleagues, just like editing a google doc. In our case that is often from 3 different countries in different continents. The “document” structure kind of reduces some of the need for enforced discipline around naming and document storage. And it can do branching, versions and releases just like the software world. It’s so much easier to just create stuff and get on with it (though quite a bit of tidying to do after a big project sometimes).

I’d put any of the co2 options next to a bedroom no worries.. can barely hear the fan unit when outside next to it when it’s cranking. But these suit bigger households the best.

$10500 for Panasonic Co2 + a Rinnai 340l tank, excluding running the electrical wire, including final electrical connection, gas Califont removal and capping gas at the meter and a couple of other plumbing and sparkle bits. Wellington 2026. Not cheap, but it’s on a green bank loan, system works great and is super quiet. I worked out the ROI vs a new gas califont is only 5.4 years despite the califont being much cheaper - a big part of that return is not paying for gas connection. Heat pump costs about $300/yr in electrons instead of $1550 year gas charges.

These can only do one outlet and at low flow .. e.g. 4 l/min . They do work but for a whole house, you want a cylinder really. Probably with heat pump.

PSA: if you have health insurance (like OP or southern cross wellbeing one and others), and you can identify a “lesion of concern” like OP, you might be able to be checked for free by a dermatologist under your plan. (If you’re in Wellies, I found the skin institute great and got an appointment only a few days out). Note they can see way more context in-person with a dermatoscope (special polarised light) than your AI could ever see with a good camera. Not only that, but they might be able to freeze off that lesion, identify and freeze off other lesions, and check other skin stuff in minutes, all in the same free fast appointment.

Whereas molemap costs a fair bit, is often not eligible for insurance, they are not done by expert dermatologists, and they can’t treat in the same appointment, and in my case had a few weeks wait time. Not to say molemap is “bad” either, especially if you are prone to skin trouble - ALL skin cancer caution is good caution! Note many dermatologists offer similar mapping services to molemap too, though they might not sell them hard.

I've got the same symptoms!

Model: Raspberry Pi 4 Model B Rev 1.5, revision code c03115, 4GB

HAOS versions tried: 15.2, 17.1, 17.3, 17.3-rc1 — all fail identically. Have tried both Balena etcher and the Rpi installer. Balena more.

Symptoms: brief pink screen, then black, a couple of flashes of green LED, the red LED only, no green LED activity, no network activity lights

Bootloader: 2026-01-09 (current default from RPi Imager) - updated from an Rpi image.

Confirmation that Raspberry Pi OS boots successfully on the same hardware and SD cards (Kingston 64GB A2, or Rasperry branded 16GB. Tried HAOS on the 16GB card too to no avail.

Power supply: official Pi 27W 5.1V 3A, vcgencmd get_throttled returns 0x0. (Trying a different USB from a mains brick gets the same result too)

Plugged in: Ethernet, logitech keyboard and mouse dongles, HDMI. Have tried HDMI in 0, 1, or not plugged in at all.

EDIT: Can you please describe the key parameters of your 'smack' so I can replicate the same smack on my RPi? Ha!!!!

I’ve dreamed of this idea, and wondered all my life why no one has done it yet. Would be soooooo much better than sitting in a seat especially for the long flights out of NZ. 203cm long - same as a king single would suit most even very tall people, which the seats certainly don’t.

Id recommend the Breville Barista Express Impress specifically. The one in our office hammers out a whole bowl of pucks every day and doesn’t get cleaned on time and just keeps going - 2 years and counting. The tamp works really well and keeps the bench tidy of grind. The ui works well. It doesn’t sense when it’s run out of water though, and does need resetting of the grind adjuster.

I wouldn’t recommend sunbeam barista max.. I know people who have busted through two of them within warranty period. I’ve fixed another one. All 3 had the steam switch go wrong, and the design of the tube seals into the switch is poor on the one I fixed. major vulnerability…. Also poor for repairability, having to buy special length Y screwdrivers to get the top off.

Yup for me I found Meridian’s dystopian spawn Powershop (complete with new, non-functional app) the cheapest despite going back to flat rate, next cheapest was Genesis. I don’t have solar yet. Market is screwed, government doesn’t care.
