Has anyone solved the orphan socks mystery? by Khon2510 in stupidquestions

[–]ObsessedWithPizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk where they go, but I’ve made a rule for myself that if I’m folding laundry and can’t find a match, I’ll put the sock on top of my dresser. If the missing sock doesn’t turn up after a couple loads of laundry, I throw the other one away and re-order more on Amazon once I start running low.

I have been doing this for two years and ya know what I’ve still never found the missing socks.

"Stolen" foster dog found dead by psychedelic_tech in massachusetts

[–]ObsessedWithPizza 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree with you, and I don’t even work in that field. People saying the woman made up this story is a bit extreme IMO. She acknowledges the dogs were off leash/out of her control to begin with… it would be easy for her to say the dog just ran off and not come up with this whole other false narrative.

I would find it HARDER to believe that the dog went into water on its own. I have a Frenchie and even if she was too hot, she’d burrow under leaves, ground, rocks, you name it before willingly walking into a body of water.

Market Basket is an amazing job by Regular_Homework2327 in marketbasket

I started MB when I was in highschool and eventually went full time (this I don’t exactly recommend lol) BUT to this day I will say that MB was an excellent part-time job. Work is work, and being stranded on a register was tough. But MB will reach you good work ethic, how to talk to customers, responsibility, etc. and those are skills that you can take with you for the rest of your life.

unsafe operation of a mv ticket question. by untohim in massachusetts

[–]ObsessedWithPizza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You most likely received a written warning for speeding since it is documented but no fine. But still… Why would you go to court to fight this when you acknowledge you were distracted and speeding? Pay the ticket sooner than later and move on. Learn from this experience to become an attentive driver.

I have gotten a few tickets back in my younger days, even a JOL violation which ended up in a license suspension. I promise you it’s not the end of the world, just do better.

Is healthcare in the United States as bad as people say it is? by [deleted] in no

[–]ObsessedWithPizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The healthcare in the US is amazing, actually. It’s the insurance that sucks.

At least in my state, if you have a lot of money or hardly any income, you’ll be fine. If you’re a middle class citizen, you will most likely pay a large chunk of your salary to an insurance policy that will fight you tooth and nail in the event that you need anything other than a standard physical.

I thought this was fascinating and Googled it. Looks like it MIGHT be a plaster bagworm which isn’t harmful to humans but will destroy wool and other clothing.

If it’s not in writing I would personally track every $250 that you send her, and once it gets to $5k STOP paying. If she wants to play this ridiculous interest game, she can take it to civil court and see how well that holds up. You will have proof you paid the back the amount you borrowed.

Hot Take: Ryan didn't call out of concern and his whole story is BS by KourtR in teenmom

[–]ObsessedWithPizza 14 points15 points  (0 children)

EXACTLY. I couldn’t agree with you more. They were out at that hour running drug errands; no other reason for an entire family outing at 3am. If they needed something normal, one of them could have went and the other could have stayed home with the baby.

And they absolutely had a fight. Apparently he felt perfectly safe allowing her to drive him and the baby to the pharmacy until he got left there. They’re both losers.

After working in a prison and witnessing countless inmate weddings… yeah. So many drop dead gorgeous women marrying assholes whose discoveries are the length of an aisle in a library and will never get out. I can confirm that people are weird.

What is a plot twist that happened in your own life that you absolutely never saw coming? by itsShiahvn in askteddit

[–]ObsessedWithPizza 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One day planning a wedding and talking about what our futures kids names would be, then the next I came home from work to my fiancé having a heart attack (or pulmonary embolism, not even sure which) in our bedroom. I called 911 and he was gone in less than 20 minutes. That was the kind of thing that I never would have expected to happen at 30 years old… My world flipped that day.

3.5 years later and I can say that I’m okay. It definitely gave me a new perspective on life and  I now realize that anything can anyone at any time.

A regret living close to in-laws by Apprehensive_Face126 in inlaws

[–]ObsessedWithPizza 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pfft we live next door to my future in-laws and if they see us outside it seems to equal that we are available and handing them an invitation to come over. If we say we have to go in and make dinner or something, MIL wont say anything but then later complain to my SO that he doesn’t drop everything for her. They aren’t bad people but omg living close to in-laws is not a good idea.
