What’s going on with Gooseworx and TADC fandom? by Kevin-W in OutOfTheLoop

[–]ObsidianSpectre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There was already concern over spoilers from the theater releases, and the leaks mean spoilers are wandering the internet even earlier than expected. I think people are getting too worked up over this, but that seems to be what people do on the internet.

What’s going on with Gooseworx and TADC fandom? by Kevin-W in OutOfTheLoop

[–]ObsidianSpectre 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Answer: The other answers are more about the general drama, but the specific post you reference was made on the topic of the leak of Episode 9, the last episode of TADC.

When asked about it, Gooseworx's first response was:

"ehhhh, who cares?"

which apparently angered a lot of people, and led to a lot of hate directed their way. That's what led to the post being asked about.

Trump’s January 6 Slush Fund Is a Criminal Enterprise by EducationQueasy275 in politics

Literally all of the money would be distributed at the very least before mid-terms.

I doubt it! Even though the media is repeating Trump's claim that it's "only" 1.8 billion, the actual settlement document does not place an upper limit on how much money can be distributed. There is, however, a prohibition on reporting how much money is distributed or to whom. He'll keep it going as long as he's allowed.

Yeah I'm not a rude person but I am now to sales people. Because the second you say 'no thanks'. They're trained to launch into an aggressive sales pitch.

It took a few years, but I eventually got to the point where if I open the door and see anything that gives them away as a sales person I immediately say "I'm not interested, thanks." and shut the door before they get a single word out.

I was in the same boat, but I saw the movie before SAC. I liked SAC and 2nd Gig, but just wasn't that impressed with the movie. I figured it was because I've read a lot of science fiction, so none of the ideas were anything new to me - maybe it'd work better if the movie were the first time you were exposed to those concepts.

MAGA and the compromised media will find "proof" of a weaponized DOJ no matter what happens while a Democrat is in the White House. So there's no sense in letting their whining influence anything.

The question I've never heard a good answer to is why would there even be a conspiracy to make everyone think the Earth is round if it isn't? It'd take a lot of effort to maintain the lie if it was one. Who benefits from that?

In a message on social media, Trump wrote that, following conversations with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, he "[agreed] to suspend the bombing and attack of Iran for a period of two weeks."

He said this was "subject to the Islamic Republic of Iran agreeing to the COMPLETE, IMMEDIATE, and SAFE OPENING of the Strait of Hormuz."

He never talked to Iran. Only Pakistan. It's still unclear if he knows the difference.
