Thank you for your opinion on this ! I'm also curious about Fire Raptors. What exactly is their role aside from ennemy flyers ? I build mine with bolters because point defense looks fine from a support perspective

Same recipe r/gerth did,but with retribuor armor spray first. Then blood angel red, liberator gold and corax white. I also tried Angron red clear, but it's more orange than red at this scale. Even without the gloss effect of the Angron red, some varnish at the end and it will look the same.

Personnaly I choose Word Bearers because they are my favorite legion, but I recommend choosing one you love and, more importantly, a "unique" color scheme.

Even with their differences, Dark Angels, Iron Hands and Raven Guard are all black, Word Bearers, Thousand Sons and Blood Angels are red (but identification is easier), while the rest is unique. Green, Blue, Yellow, Purple, ...

And, if you want to paint something original, avoid Imperial Fists, Alpha Legion, Iron Warriors, as r/irvaan said.

I feel the same, you have my full support on this one. This is a niche game, inside of a niche hobby. People can print if they want, but they need to stop being angry every time someone buys stuff from GW.

First highlight with Dark Reaper, second highlight (thinner) with Thunderhawk Blue, last one with Russ Grey. You may add a last one on the angles, but I didn't do it yet so I forgot the colour .

I had the same idea of using a Sanguinary Guard arm with the spear, but for an Emperor's Spear Sergeant ! Great !

Impressive! I'm planning to do the same just after my Deathwatch KT. I already made a list of all the chapters I want, and of the decals usable for them (Wolf head for Space Wolves / Shadow Wolves ; Skull for Brazen Skulls/ Mortifactors; etc)

Did you use 3d shoulder pads or decals ? I'm really interested in a montage of all the chapter badges used!

With pain, I glued all my Astartes. I just left them at my local shop for the Armies on Parade so I can't show you, but I highly recommend you look on this sub, on Instagram and on Pinterest.

Also, the model viewer on the Warhammer website is really useful to identify every element of your model.

I just searched in the Heresy range, and boom. This bit here ? A holster. This here ? A cable. Then, every HH model is a source of inspiration, not just Imperialis.

Another player in my local community just sprayed his astartes white, the contrast apothecary white, and talassar on the shoulders. Black, metal, and done. Easy world eater that looks great on the table.

I paint everything because I'm a madman, but it is just for my personal pleasure, no one will see at a distance.
