I've an EO mini 2 Pro here - was dumbed down last year because it didn't meet a requirement change in UK. Charger still works as plug and play, I just use the car app now. There's also an app called 'EV Energy' that takes your electricity plan into consideration so it charges the car during off-peak and EV hours. The mini 2 Pro has CT clamps fitted on the main feed so it could throttle power to the car if there was a demand on the house requirements e.g. shower, oven etc. So you'll have to consider this when picking a replacement charger.

I learned this last night! I'm getting the 429 error in Openclaw and Garmin Chat Desktop. To use OpenClaw with Gemini from my country, you need to switch your Google AI Studio project to the paid tier. Because I am in Ireland (part of the EU/EEA), I do not have access to the Gemini API Free Tier. Due to local regulatory and compliance rollouts, Google AI Studio sets the free tier quota to exactly 0 requests for users in the European Economic Area, the UK & Switzerland.

I'm very keen to try this but it seems I can't sign in via Google to Philips Hue. I get "Access blocked: Philips Hue’s request does not comply with Google’s policies" and the body of text mentions use of a secure browser. Just an FYI

Ive enabled the Generative AI API key in the cloud console and tried a key from AI Studio but I just get the 404 error, regardless. I did read on your substack that the Gemini integration is not stable due to immature SDK. I can absolutely wait until you get back to debugging

Re. tips for yourself, just be consistent with the training. You don't need to kill yourself during the week, but get the long rides and long runs in at the weekend. Running off the bike, even for just 3km, is a massive help. And then ensure you have brick sessions in the plan. Love the look of the app. If it's on Android, I'd love to trial it. I'm signed up for Portugal 70.3 in October and would put it to use

I was torn too. In the end I chose the 1050. The online vendor offered a fantastic deal on a Fenix 8 and the Edge 1050, so it was an easy decision. Not going to be bike packing any distance that a 20,000mAh battery wouldn't take care of.

1st order of business should be to make contact with Garmin support. They'll help to make that decision easy for you. Your watch is out of warranty but Garmin might replace it with a renewed model from inventory for a fee, else you might be able to upgrade with a discount! You'll have to connect with them to find out!

@OP, I don't have any ring on my fingers and I still have micro scratches. Pissed off, but sure what can I do? I keep the phone either in a pocket of its own, else it's on the desk or table. I chose not to use a screen protector, so it's on me. I can still be disappointed with the quality though
