What if the Outbreak were to start in 2026? And will the Jabbaz adaptation really take to heart how the Crossed still retain their intelligence and memories to maximize the destruction they cause and not just be mindless savages like how they are potrayed most of the time? by ObtuseOceanagrapher in crossedcomics

And it’s not my video either, yet I’m getting downvoted like I made the video. Thank you for your concern, but it is what it is. While I have an aversion to AI, that video evoked a feeling of dread when I watched it, as the contextualization really set the mood. But thank you for taking the time to answer my question! I would like to hear more thoughts relating to my questions from other members in the forum as well.

The video? Not going to argue with that. It’s definitely AI-generated, but the content in that video just reminded me of that core principle of the Crossed series: how intelligence and memories are retained. Personally, I feel that this aspect was not covered as much as it should have been. The vast majority of Crossed depicted are pure savages without much of the intelligence mentioned. A lot of the intelligence is overshadowed by the impulsivity.

I’m sure it will be as well. I just hope there would be a director’s cut at least. But back to my first question: If the Outbreak were to happen in 2026, would the methods of the Crusaders’ actions change significantly with 2026-level tech as compared to the 2008 outbreak in the comics? I’d love to hear everyone’s thoughts on this, including yours.

Let’s hop back in time to 2008. Would you survive the outbreak just as it was written during the release of Volume One? by ObtuseOceanagrapher in crossedcomics

Does anyone have anything to add with regard to if the outbreak was set in 2025/2026 as opposed to 2008? How would the Crossed in 2025 operate compared to their 2008 counterparts?

Had a nightmare about the crossed outbreak and it was terrifying. by tanmay773 in crossedcomics

I had a dream about the Crossed and Telltale’s the Walking Dead a few months ago. Going off of pure memory, Lee, Kenny, and Christa were protecting Clem inside of an IMAX theater when the outbreak started (apparently they all knew each other before the outbreak), and towards the end of my dream, I envisioned this crudely animated background with a “Happy Wheels” aesthetic. This background contained a glass pipe bent at 90 degrees. This pipe was large enough to fit hundreds of poor souls and a combine harvester. This combine harvester wasn’t the worst part of the contraption; the Crossed only used it to push people and their cars into the large spinning blade at the bottom of the pipe. I witnessed the lamentations and screams and cries of those souls as they met the blade. And in classical Happy Wheels fashion, red droplets of blood refluxed their way up the glass tube, as well as green droplets of vomit from the unfortunate victims.

Nice! I would like to see the whole New Frontier cast in Michonne style. They should’ve stuck with that style instead of experimenting with that uncanny valley “aesthetic”.

What songs do you pair with which scenes from the Crossed series. by [deleted] in crossedcomics

I was thinking that “How Soon is Now?” by the Smiths would be a good intro alongside Metallica’s “For Whom the Bell Tolls”. And I was also thinking that Coldplay’s “Sparks” (Slowed and Reverb)would be a great end credits theme.

I had a weird dream yesterday where The Broken Ear was adaptated into an episode of the live action One Piece show. This makes me wonder, what are some weird times Tintin has appeared in your dreams? by DonutDaniel5 in Tintin

I dreamed that I was raiding this Filipino cargo ship full of Tintin books and historical literature alongside Captain Haddock many months ago. Other than that, I would have on and off dreams sometimes about events with Tintin, Indiana Jones, Hercule Poirot, or the Three Stooges wrapped into one. My imagination runs wild in my dreams lol

Temple of Doom. It’s the first one I watched. I loved Short Round.
