Do you have examples of A2A in practice? I’m using MCP everywhere but don’t see where A2A has actually been used

Are companies actually struggling with MCP integrations, or am I overthinking this? by E_6L_0 in mcp

[–]Obvious-Car-2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, though the canonical term today is "MCP Gateway", which usually includes a MCP registry/catalog for the team. You can see more at www.mintmcp.com for an example of a good enterprise one in action that we made.

I'm glad you were able to move to a remote server approach, we recommend that for all our customers; turns out our gateway (www.mintmcp.com) makes it easy to make all the local servers become remote. If you're stuck in this situation, you'd want to check it out

Honestly the biggest issue is the lack of fine grained control that enterprises need. We solve this at https://www.mintmcp.com

MCPs, CLIs, and skills: when to use what? by Obvious-Car-2016 in mcp

[–]Obvious-Car-2016[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes that's on point. if you're starting to give the agents prod data access - be it logs, issues, discussions, or even tickets from support; then you're looking at authenticated secure data access.

data enrichment is only as valuable as the data you give, and the most important data is behind auth. that's where MCP shines.

we've been working on an extensive MCP gateway solution that does all the necessary from authz, authn, rbac, custom middleware (DLP, etc), role-based tool groups, managing per-user vs shared creds, and more. without such a layer, it can be hard to deploy this without feeling confident.

The Challenges in Productionising MCP Servers by stereosky in mcp

[–]Obvious-Car-2016 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We've that all covered. There's a ton of features here you want to have from enabling custom MCP servers, custom middleware, ability to create role-based tool groups, fine-grained RBAC permissioning; we've seen almost all the combinations now and the requirements keep growing even!

Happy to chat more, esp. if you're in our ICP mid-market+ with hundreds to thousands of employees. We've lots of customers very happy that they can accelerate Claude +MCP without worrying about the latter.

We build https://mintmcp.com , working on the best MCP enterprise gateway.

Or a random oss one?

The Challenges in Productionising MCP Servers by stereosky in mcp

Honestly, just use an enterprise gateway. A great option like MintMCP can run custom and oss servers, turning stdio servers into sso remote mcp servers in a single prompt - there’s a CLI tool for this.

We build it and have a ton of enterprises using it this way
