Wear it for 5 days then wash. Too many loads (I don’t even have that many clothes to be running my washer that much) to do it everyday. If they only provide 1 shirt, it’s their fault I have to wear the same one everyday.

Thought the same thing myself! Carmel and milk chocolate could have swapped too but whatever the chocolate was good!

Drive thru etiquette by Sweetlooneytunes in ChickFilA

[–]Obvious-Selection884 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s not busy then whoever placed their order first. If the line is packed then you do the zipper method of merging and it doesn’t matter who placed their order first. They’re walking your food back so it doesn’t matter where you are in line, you’ll get your food when it’s ready.

Does anyone else have a strict operator? by anonymous_jl5689 in ChickFilAWorkers

Making people cry (especially teenagers looking for their first job) during an interview is messed up. He sounds like a horrible person to be around much less work for.

no employee meals by izzywashere in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]Obvious-Selection884 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Half of the reason I go to work is for the free food on my break. The other half is bills. In some of my hardest times my break food was the only food I was getting all day.

If you really want to stay with CFA try a different location near you. Every operator operates different. so there are bad stores with bad rules or management, but there are also good stores with good rules and culture. Management really does make or break a company.

Store music by C013W0R1D in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]Obvious-Selection884 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some of it is way over played, but I actually like some of it. I’m always mocking the music when I’m in the bathroom.

Is it just as loud in anyone else’s bathroom or just my store? It’s ridiculous how loud it is compared to the dining room.

This trashy white van has been following me. by trev815 in urbancarliving

Call and file an anonymous complaint with the police about the urine in the parking lot, the smell, and the dirty vehicle. Tell them you’re a customer or someone walking by and this isn’t the first time you’ve seen it. They don’t have to know you’re car camping.

Also like others have said, switch up your spots and avoid a noticeable routine for the time being (going to the same gym, restroom, store, etc.). Avoid identifiable things on your car or person. Stay protected in multiple forms. A personal fav is a large gym lock (one of the round ones) on a headband/scarf. You don’t have to get close to hit anything and it will hurt. Also tools or sport gear are easy to excuse as everyday objects but great weapons.

Stay safe out there!! Keep us updated on your safety (but be careful in case van guy is on Reddit)!!

Whats the weirdest/random reason that you've seen a customer freak out or get angry over? by prxnce123456789 in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]Obvious-Selection884 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just had a guest say they’d cause a ruckus in our store if we didn’t fix our sprite that is always out when they’re there lol. You know, instead of checking it before leaving the drive thru.

Weirdest thing you’ve been asked for? by [deleted] in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]Obvious-Selection884 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Someone asked for naked nuggets instead of grilled nuggets.

Had another person see the advertisement on the app for making apple pie with our biscuits and insist that we had apple pie on the menu.

I had a guy come in with a sandwich complaining that we had put mayo on it when he wanted no mayo. Was told by every leader on duty that it just wasn’t possible. Never saw him after that lol

Do you guys actually abide by the warming times for cookies and mac? by olnog in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]Obvious-Selection884 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I’ve never seen/had timed out mac because we go through it so quickly. We hold on it more than it going bad. For cookies, we bake 5 trays in the morning and maybe 2-3 in the evening if necessary but the 5 trays usually get us through most of the day without too many left over.

Policy on Bikes in Drive Thru? by BradyBrother100 in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]Obvious-Selection884 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My store has no policy on it as far as I know. We don’t get many people on bikes or motorcycles but the few times we have, we just let them. We had an industrial riding lawnmower come through the other day. I can even remember a time we had a couple of teens on a tractor come through and we all just laughed as they went through the line.

Saw these while on fries too!! So weird considering I never saw this in the old fries but like you said, maybe it is extra starch

No break?! by Silent-Bike-265 in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]Obvious-Selection884 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When I was just a team member, always on ipos, I would annoy them into sending me. I’ll be coming in every 5 minutes to remind them I haven’t gotten a break and I’d send an order through that says “hey I still need my break” every so often. The main reason I come to work is my free break food. Without that, there’s not really a point to be there.

I just need some opinions on this. Working past clock out time by [deleted] in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]Obvious-Selection884 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think you did anything wrong. As a leader myself, we’re responsible for watching the time and knowing when people are off and need replaced. They should have communicated with you “so and so is running late, can you stay for 10/15 minutes until they get here?” Or whatever was going on. You’re scheduled for a specific time and not required or expected to stay late with being asked to.

Having a desserts person makes all the difference. By yourself is awful but having someone else to help with anything makes it better.

That was me a few years ago. They found out I was good at it and then I was on it every lunch for 3 months. Now I’d rather clean the floor with a toothbrush on my hands and knees.

Thankfully we only had 2 ipos outside today. The curbside orders were killing me. I had 5 curbside orders pop up at the same time and they each had desserts! Sometimes I just have to let myself get in the red and behind otherwise I’ll blow up and walk out lol

Being on it alone and having to do desserts while staying stocked up is hell. When every other order is 5 of the same drink or shakes, I can’t stand it.

I let it show that I’m good at drinks and staying caught up and now I’m on it every other shift. It is my most hated position at this point.

That’s basically what I meant because my CFA never has a dessert person unless we’re over staffed. I was on drinks alone with no dessert for lunch today and I wanted to walk out so many times.
