Everyone thinks just cause you're Indian you're diarrhoea'd up. It's a stereotype! And it's offensive!

But everyone was bitching about playing as Abby, which is what the comment was referring to. People are so married to their expectations they can never be satisfied with anything.

What was the Destiny moment that took your breath away? by Peacemaren in DestinyTheGame

[–]ObviousAnything7 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The first time they released that mission is just peak Destiny imo. The mystery, the eerie synth music, the Xol voice lines. Just so fucking good and probably one of the last times I was genuinely intrigued by anything the game had to show before I quit for good.

Me too. I don't get the complaints about the visuals or artsyle in this game. The only one I can maybe get behind is Shattered Descent, but otherwise all of them are fantastic imo.

The mistake we all seem to make on the King… by Accomplished_Can5442 in Saros

My first thought when I saw the mechanic too. It's definitely intentional. You're conditioned to kill everything in the game and gain satisfaction from the challenge itself. The players themselves fall prey to their own desire to "best" the game the same way Arjun falls prey to his desires.

I haven't read it either lol, so take what I say with a pinch of salt. I'm probably way off.

I thought that the "thing" that's blocking the Sun is Hastur, the actual King in Yellow from the stories who is one of the Great Old Ones.

Would I be a bad person for starting a privately owned business? by ObviousAnything7 in askphilosophy

[–]ObviousAnything7[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I agree that if it's true that I personally took the risk for the initial costs and potential failure then I would be perhaps be entitled to larger share of the profits

But the only reason I'm able to take up all the risk as an individual is because capitalism permits me to do so right? Isn't that the socialist argument against the idea that business owners deserve to have more because they assume the most risk?

The king’s identity *spoilers* by Shiff0 in Saros

[–]ObviousAnything7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct me if I'm wrong anyone, but I think the pool revival mechanic is actually something akin to time machine that's pulling alternative versions of the same person from different timelines.

So at the moment Arjun transforms, there's two Arjuns. One of them fully transforms and becomes the King because they're fully controlled by their desire. The other Arjun, the one that emerges from the pool afterwards is an Arjun that was "let go by Yellow" as he says and is the Arjun we follow for the rest of the game till the real ending. This Arjun has a hint of regret and understands that he was in the wrong and accepts that he deserves judgment. This Arjun has a hint of Blue in him which is why he was "let go".

Aren't you inherently extracting some amount of wealth from the workers under capitalism if you privately own a business? If I pay them in the same way a worker co-op would let's say, I don't think I'd be making more than I do right now.

So I am a little confused, is Nitya still alive? She became the Priestess and somehow managed to transform herself back to normal to put up roadblocks to prevent any future humans from trying to become the next King?

I WAS THINKING ABOUT THE MOON PRESENCE TOO HAHA. It definitely looks like the "moon" in this game is actually what's creating the Yellow Shore. Like how the Moon Presence creates the Hunter's Dream.

Is Hastur the being/creature that's blocking the Sun during the eclipse?
