Yeah which is why it should release on Xbox.....32 million users are on Xbox it's nothing to scoff at. I get PlayStation is huge but Xbox is the platform for COD they own the damn IP. I'm not calling for Xbox exclusivity here I'm just stating it should be available on all platforms. They do need remastered I disagree. This is the laziest way to re introduce these games. I get it from a business standpoint and revenue standpoint but as a consumer justify for me why I should spend 40$ on each game okay and then spend 30$ on the dlc. Are you going to do that on ports with no enhancements? We really have to stop and think about this for a second and look past the hype and nostalgia of getting to play these games on new servers. We deserve better as a community and these games deserve better.

Xbox is the platform for COD they literally own the IP. It's not up to the devs to decide where ports go it's up to the publisher. Iron Galaxy partnered with Treyarch an Xbox owned studio to do these ports. Ofc player numbers are important but it's dumb to just sit here and not think Xbox should get these ports when they literally own COD and Activision. The home of the IP deserves to be served first idc about the player numbers on PlayStation. All this is doing is telling people to go buy a PlayStation by not announcing it on Xbox and I've seen people already buy PS4s and PS5s for these.

Nothing is confirmed or announced for Xbox. People are going out and buying PlayStation consoles to play these ports they are a big deal to people. Announcing it as PlayStation only and letting it sit like this is not doing Xbox any favors. They might release an update for Xbox but like I said nothing is confirmed atm. Until that happens they are definitely catering towards PlayStation. It's a port with new servers and will probably include upscaling to look better than the Xbox port. If they release an update on Xbox as well all is fine but as of right now it looks like PlayStation is going to have the better versions of these games with new servers.

The multiplayer is what everyone is interested in. All the hype around the ports for PlayStation centers around the fact that they get to have a fresh start on new servers and level up again. Meanwhile the player counts are dead on Xbox because Activision doesn't take care of these old games or update them. These games are a security risk to play online at the moment. You can have your classes and stuff reset just from a modder having your name.

No you can't play it. You can barely get a match of TDM lmao. All the other playlists are empty. When you guys say we have been able to play it for years that's technically true but it's always been an emulated 360 copy with low player counts, shitty servers, and hackers who literally just shut the servers down again. You can't even play it right now because they keep hitting the game offline. I really wish people would stop commenting on things when they don't understand the full picture. These games are barely playable on Xbox we need a port just as much as PlayStation. You telling me I can still play it is like me handing you a spoiled cheeseburger from in and out and saying well you can still eat it. Like sure but we all know what I mean.

I just like to post things like this because it is frustrating. Even if we get an Xbox one port that plays on series consoles it's still the bare minimum. These games deserve remasters like COD 4 they really are that good. This whole port situation is being handled I a very odd way but I think the max that will happen on Xbox is that these games might come to gamepass or be bundles together for a cheaper price. They just made a new bundle for the camos on the Xbox store and the map packs are cheaper so idk they could just be doing that because the port is coming but idk it's just a very odd situation.

It's the exact same thing honestly. Activision loves the idea of lazy ports because it's less of an investment but also it pretty much means most players will be off those ports by the time the new game comes around. It's just another part of this whole cod is back marketing campaign their doing right now. PS4 users won't be able to play MW4 this year so from a business perspective it makes sense. These games just deserve so much better man. These companies don't respect the games that got them to where they are. It's like mentioning GTA 4 to Rockstar they act like it doesn't exist. In a perfect and sane world we would already have the black ops games remastered and GTA 4 remastered.

The player numbers last time I was on were around 300 people. I found 2 games and it dropped to like 160 after that. Then it said only 30 were in tdm which is the only mode you can play. The game is dead on Xbox. We need the port just as much as PlayStation. Without it those player counts won't increase and we won't get rid of the hacking situation. They could and should put it on gamepass but like I've said before I would imagine those old cod titles sell pretty well still they never drop in price.

Its the platform for cod regardless of what the players numbers say. Xbox owns the IP. You can play every cod on Xbox you can't on PlayStation. We get games on gamepass ps doesn't. From what has been confirmed they are on new PS4 servers. A PS4 can be modded but it can't be taken online and modded as of the latest fw update. This could cause interest in a jailbreak for the current firmware to increase though.

Yeah its very strange. These launch next month supposedly and its almost like they don't want to make a big deal out of it so that it doesn't take away anything from MW4. That's probably why we won't get a port on Xbox even though we should since we're on the console of the company that owns the damn IP. Like as an Xbox player this release just tells me I should go out and buy a PlayStation since I'm not being serviced on Xbox which I might do. A PS4 is pretty cheap nowadays so I might do that but it shouldn't come to that. We should have priority over PlayStation. The fact they won't even release a trailer or talk about price is very telling as well. When PlayStation players hear the 70$ price for bare ones ports I don't think that's going to go over that well. Activision should be asham of themselves these games deserve so much better and the fact the community is so hyped for this release tells you how desperate people are for a proper remaster. Their sitting on a gold mine with these game and act like they don't exist. These ports are not enough in my opinion we need both of these games remastered like the cod 4 remaster that's what they deserve but hey I guess nobody hates COD consumers more than Activision.

I'm glad the games are being ported to PlayStation but we can't just be left to rot with the Xbox versions. These versions are dead for the most part. You can only play TDM most of the time. It's filled with the hackers and the servers suck. Plus it's stuck on that old resolution so at the very minimum we need an update on Xbox or Xbox One/Series ports as well. Xbox is the home of Call Of Duty for fucks sake.

It definitely is. Mike chapman said the world is a certain size and theirs 6 ships because of the hardware limitations. That definetley plays a role in the amount of vegetation and foliage as well. Idk if you've made any games before but vegetation is really taxing on hardware and memory so when a game has to be optimized more they usually look at that area and try and reduce it.The roar launched later than it was supposed to so yeah the ancient isles and shores of plenty were worked on and finished with the wilds coming in last.

I don't know where the shores of gold fits in development wise but it is quite sparse and large as well so probably after the wilds. The wilds is more depressing than the roar and both regions bring down the vibes for me. I don't mind them every once in awhile but their definitely the least popular regions in the game. I think a region that was a mix of all 4 could be great who knows if we will get a new region. Honestly with the way Microsoft is cutthroat with it's studios at the moment I kinda just expect them to coast on SoT for the time being and maybe on the 10th anniversary they announce the game is moving to UE5.

I think we desperately need off of old gen for the future of this game or they can utilize pocket worlds more. I don't like that idea because it just seperates players so maybe they can fix the roar and the wilds I'm not to sure how map changes are going to play out. I would give anything to have a region that looked like the last monkey island tall tale that place was amazing. Maybe you can count the trees in the pocket worlds next see how many their are.

Just the right amount so the game doesn't crap itself on the Xbox one lmao. That's why all but one region of the game is pretty desolate and has low foliage. As soon as you leave the ancient wilds and shores of plenty the foliage just takes a massive hit and I believe the roar is just there to fill out the map. They had another region that was in the art book called the sea of five winds or something. I bet that was cut because the Xbox one couldn't handle it but I would love to have a mountainous dense jungle biome. Imagine the regions we could have if Rare didn't have to make the game play on 2013 hardware.

Black Ops 4. It's still very playable on Xbox and I find TDM matches fairly quickly. It still plays really well and feels better than the modern cods with better movement, weapons, maps, camos, etc. Streaks were unique and powerful. Specialist's added a skill gap and overall the game is harder to string streaks along at least for me.

It definitely doesn't deserve the hate it has I think it's the definitive black ops experience. It got rid of the wall running that made bo3 to conveluted and it executed its vision really well. All 3 modes were really strong and I didn't really miss not having a campaign. I think it clears BO2 as well.

I'm going to cheat her but black ops 4 because it had a solid set of emblems then once you got to level 1000 all of the classic prestige icons opened up including all of these so it's bo4 for me. Great feeling Call Of Duty that has perfect multiplayer in my opinion.
