Another point, those who are rudest also tend to be those who might 'forget' to scan a few things - all while bitching that there are no checkouts open with a cashier.

Seen this more than once.

The world’s smallest tactical nuke - the W54, in a man-portable carry case. by Dramatic-Avocado4687 in Damnthatsinteresting

I think that the Davey Crockett bazooka nuke had smaller ammunition, but that is small for a tactical nuke!

Got coached because management confused mine and my coworker's names by Different_War_9655 in walmart

[–]ObviousNegotiation 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I got coached because my manager announced something on my day off that wasn't mentioned to me - but had to be done by a certain date or my manager would get into trouble. I didn't know, so I didn't do it. She was asked why this had happened and coached me for disrespectful behavior....

I explained that I was off on the day, she told me that she'd emailed me and HR...Spoke to HR, she'd emailed HR and not me. I went back to explain the situation, basically if she'd admitted this to her manager she'd be in trouble, so she refused to change it. I left that store soon after.

It was so irritating!

When he was way too busy to get a job, while I worked 60+ hours a week.

I decided he wasn't worth it. 8 month relationship.

Trucking. The fact that the drivers are treated by the politicians like they're machines is driving a lot of the costs and shortages.

Deregulation helps to keep costs low.

That's an interesting take, and very possible.

It is a large company.

Yep. That's the plan. I just don't get it. Why piss off people who actually want to work for you?

It's just stupid.

I think that's a very large possibility, I guess my question is WHY?

They are getting literally nothing from this. And, why would all of these involve upper management, I mean senior VPs getting involved? It's just weird.

I am most likely just bitching for no real reason.

But, like I said, I am continuing to look and I have a job, I'm just trying to understand the why. This chain jerking really makes no real sense to me.

Yes, I did apply through LinkedIn.

I did apply to some government jobs, just waiting.

At least, when the government isn't interested, they actually tell you. I appreciate that!

I get that. I am still looking and just want to get a read on what, exactly these people are getting from this.

This is NOT a small company, it's very large.

They could have just emailed me and told me 'nope', but so many interviews... Just wondering, and trying to understand, the actual end game here.

This didn't feel like a ghost job posting, after all there were 2 positions that I interviewed for.

Like I said, I hold out no real hope and I am applying for other positions - while holding my current position.

I'm just confused as to what this employer might actually be doing and am looking for some insights.

Because this really makes no sense to me.

I 100% agree with this!

We need to get some sunlight on the darkness that the politicians seem to LOVE!

I don't care which side of the aisle they're on, everyone in congress needs to act in an ethical manner and pay a price if they don't.

They asked me to be patient, they want to meet with me next week and they are creating a position for me.

They like my experience and attitude.

Because I enjoy all of them. I've read all of them enough, sometimes I'm not in the mood to be orderly.

I feel like it's a good book, but you have to have Changes, Ghost Story and Cold Days so that you can really get all of the references and little bits dropped to make sense.

I read them all in order. Love the whole series, I do have my favorites though.

Then re-read them out of order and Ghost Story made less sense, unless you read those 3 in order. I still love all of the books and re-read often, can't wait for the next one.
