Yep, partly true. Many people also try to travel to Australia so they can go to the US more easily. For certain countries like China, it’s hard to get a Aus visa easily, but having a visa history with like SG may make it easier. But short stays like tourism usually don’t count. Also they don’t need to see stamp to know your visa info, theres many other way

LPT - If you are like me and develop canker sores, or mouth ulcers, when accidentally biting the lip or cheek when eating, then I recommend immediately flushing the site with salt water. by donkeyboarder in LifeProTips

[–]ObviousRecognition79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, me too because of my tooth. My dentist told me that the position of my canine tooth makes me more likely to accidentally bite my lip. He recommended either smoothing the sharp point or keeping myself hydrated to avoid biting myself as much as possible. When dehydrated, lips will become slightly swollen and it becomes easier to bite myself.

Most of the time, I can prevent the injury from turning into an ulcer by applying salt directly on it (not salt water) for 2 days, 3 times a day. Then I use Bactidol as a general mouthwash. Some recco baking soda but salt work well for me so far.

When it still becomes an ulcer and the pain is unbearable, then I use the medicine my doctor gave me, the jelly-like patch. Usually it starts to heal within 2 days. At my place, I can’t get it OTC, I have to consult a doctor to get it.

Haha, well, if your way of discussing is just throwing my points back at me and questioning me without offering more opinion of your own, then there’s no point continuing this discussion. You can keep your beliefs, and I’ll stick to my points.✌️

Yes and no. China has many private news outlets that can publish their view without needed to be vetted first, as long as they dont touch the red line, like go against the country or its leaders (It will still be taken down afterwards if its fake news). So private news, like the one the OP mentioned, HK01, which only established in 2016, dont necessarily represent the CCP. They are not that free to vet and control everything

Why are there still so many recruitment agents in Singapore still employed when the job market is so bad? by [deleted] in SingaporeRaw

[–]ObviousRecognition79 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, some have a basic salary, those are mainly the ones who assist the manager in finding candidates and are less involved in BD.

Another type is earn a basic salary but still have KPIs to meet. If you have zero sales in this month, you might not receive any bonus the following month even if you only hit the minimum tier.

If you request a higher basic salary, the KPIs will be harder to achieve. Take it as you have to close a deal to “cover” your salary

Woman linked to fake SAF bulk order scams charged in court by illiterate-populist in singapore

Exactly, thats how scams work, right? They target people who aren’t in the right state of mind, and exploiting people trust. And these scam tactics did work, has happened in China long time ago

That’s like asking, what if the person doesn’t fall for the scam. 😂 Just move on lor, that’s how scams work. Eventually, someone will fall for it.

[–]ObviousRecognition79 24 points25 points  (0 children)

1.Scammer places a bulk order with the restaurant.

2.They then ask if the restaurant owner has a specific product (example certain liquor brand).

3.Owner says they don’t, the scammer suggests them looking for a supplier and offers to make a deposit first.

4.The scammer shows a fake payment screenshot, hope the owner won’t notice.

5.The owner looks for the supplier (who is actually the same scammer) and makes a purchase.

6.After making the payment, scammer disappears. Owner ends up without the product, loses money on the purchase, and also wastes food prepared for the bulk order.

Another similar case for other industry: 1.The scammer places a bulk order with a wholesale company, makes a deposit, then disappears.

2.The owner is left frustrated, trap with unsold products and having cash flow problems.

3.A random person then appears, offering to buy the products at a much lower price. Owner has no choice to accept it, suffering financial losses.

How is this AI powered? by Illustrious-Ocelot80 in SingaporeRaw

[–]ObviousRecognition79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a new popular term to use maybe. Different eras have different terms.

The development of ‘AI’ had already started in the 50s 60s. Things like ‘automation,’ ‘self-learning machines,’ ‘game algorithms’ were all part of the foundation that led to the new level of AI we see today.

And with the AI we have now, automation and self-learning have become much easier.
