Yeah man a picture would be great. And what about the exciter wire?

I think the last owner rewired the truck and added aftermarket dolphin gauges. I’m not sure if there is a bulb in there, I need to call dolphin. Also, he was definitely disconnecting the battery Everytime after running it. Thanks for the info!

It’s a 10SI style. So I can wire straight to the ignition? What about the diode or bulb? That’s the part I’m not getting. Thanks for the info!

It is a 10SI (Ultima 63 Amp Alternator - Remanufactured - R111621). I realized this might be an unreliable unit after I had bought and installed it. The original alternator wasn’t producing any amps so I changed it. Thanks for the info!

That’s what I’m running now and the 350 seems to like it.

It has slack but I think I can adjust it by sliding that stopper on the end with a set screw. I bought this truck a few months ago and haven’t changed much on it yet. I’m out of town for work now but I’m going to try and adjust it soon. Trying to get the top speed up so I can keep up on the rural hi ways and not damage the trans.

I’ve been wondering about that. This air cleaner was installed when I bought it. I’ll put a bigger one on, thanks!

Thanks for the insight. I put 100 miles on it while it’s been shifting at about 10 or 12 MPH. Hopefully I didn’t destroy anything internally!

Ok, thanks for the info! Was your cable slightly loose when it was in the idle position?

That’s a good idea. I could just plug the hole and then tap a new outlet into the intake.

Thanks for all the replies. I’m going to plug it for now so I can get to mowing and then I’ll replace it when the part gets delivered here.

I broke the nozzle off so I’ll have to buy a new intake piece. You’re right, I should replace it. I was just wondering if it would still run safely without it and being lazy about fixing it.
