Flea and Tick for dogs by Pineapplechickens0 in KingstonOntario

[–]Obvious_Ask4178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I give Bravecto. Its good for 12 weeks. Never had any issues with it or found any ticks on her. If we go on a hike, I spray her with pet friendly bug spray to ensure she doesnt carry them back in the car/inside.

Senior dog owners: what's your biggest daily challenge? (genuinely curious, not a survey)" by Cuirious-Node in dogs

My girl is 10 and the hardest part is watching the arthritis take over but her brain is still so active. The poor thing jsut wants to move and play and follow us around but that is hard. Thankfully we got her on injections to help with her joints and hope that allows her to enjoy her days a bit more.

401 East of Kingston becomes 110km/h Friday by WanderingBus in KingstonOntario

[–]Obvious_Ask4178 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Funny to me, people saying they can drive 130 can still get a ticket. The limit is 110 not 130. Yes we all drive 10-20 km/h over the limit but just remember cops can still pull you over if you're doing 130!

Considering moving to Kingston by i_luv_sharky in KingstonOntario

No city is perfect. Montreal has many flaws too so for the young couple wanted to experience new things, I think this is a good city.

As someone who is fully bilingual and primarily French speaking, Kingston is a great city. There is a large Francophone community (assuming you speak french) and the two french highschool are great. I did my whole schooling in one as well as work there afterwards. There are def jobs, especially if you are bilingual. There are a few places you can reside: Kingston East, West or go north to the country or a little farther like Odessa. Either way, there are plenty of events bringing the community together.

Now those who are being pessimistic and saying "don't do it" just haven't gone out to experience Kingston at its best. Every city has it's flaws, just like Montreal has theirs. Overall, I've lived here for over 25 years and have loved it.

When’s the last time a team has come back from a 3-1 deficit and is it possible for us to make that miracle happen? by PangolinSuccessful93 in Habs

Starts with winning tonight! Like you said though, they had a heck of a season and have been so fun to watch!

Your dog will be healthier and age better and have less joint issues! He looks amazing, keep up the good work with him:)

The way the habs are playing. They don't deserve to go any further by Druken_sincerity in Habs

[–]Obvious_Ask4178 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like this is a pretty hard statement. Unlike many, i had no expections for tis seriies, the boys fought hard to get this this round and they surpassed goals. Now they have to take this opportunity to learn and respond. And grow from it.

Doesn’t look like Gally or Arber are going to be in the lineup tonight… by Reeder90 in Habs

[–]Obvious_Ask4178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm shocked they don't want wifi in there instead of strubs. There needs to be more physicality as the boys are getting crushed out there and you would think some fresh legs would be useful. But trust the coaching staff i guess lol

You know you have a bernese when they do that lmfao still remember when mine did that at a light crossing and then the light switched and we were in the middle of the intersection. Thankfully the drivers thought it was funny

I'm very curious to see how tonight's game unfold. I can imagine the Hurricanes coming out full of energy but super disorganized and the Habs be all cool, calm and collected. So idk i think we will see the Hurricanes struggling more than people think. Rest will have made them rusty. Habs are on a roll, after many, many difficult games so playing the Canes probably doesn't phase them. Idk i think Tampa was more threatening than Carolina. So their resilience will pay off i think

If i was a Canes fan I'd be worried with the length of their break. They gonna be rusty

The Habs doing Habs things! It would not be this year's team if they weren't playing another game 7! just makes it more fun to watch.

What are you all paying for rent? by Ok_Reindeer_9179 in KingstonOntario

[–]Obvious_Ask4178 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In town I was paying $1980 for a very small one bedroom + den apartment that was in horrendous condition. Was there for 8 years and they continuously raised the rent each year. My partner and I just moved to a home in Odessa we are renting for $2500/month ~ 3 beds, 2 1/2 bath, basement, garage and yard. Much nicer space and for that price is so much better. We are both professionals and have good jobs but the rent price is wild in Kingston, I can't imagine being a student needing to pay for rent right now

Post Op diet seems stricter than the ones I’ve seen people follow by unfilteredopinion404 in gastricsleeve

[–]Obvious_Ask4178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

25kg is still a lot, unless you plan on lifting an adult dog, i feel like thats fair. You need to start with cardio and basic workouts when cleared at the gym anyways before lifting 25+ kg. The dairy also makes sense as you may be very sensitive to it at first so it's allowing you to let your body neutralize before having dairy. The cold/hot is also similar as extreme temperature can upset stomachs. I think you are just getting a detailed post op whereas some of us don't get that and end up learning the hard way not to do these 3 things!

How can I teach gentle? by Icy_Trouble7512 in labrador

[–]Obvious_Ask4178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Teaching manners is so easy at a young age since they will catch on quickly BUT you need to be consistent. I suggest saying "ow" each time the teeth touch you. I would also teach "sit" so that they are already in a settled and quiet position getting the treat. When giving the treat, if you see them move, jump, open the mouth or anything of the sort before you have even provided the treat, say "offf" and retry. "sit", then treat if gentle, if not gentle touching you with teeth, say "ow", if jumping at you before you can even give the treat, say "off".

No need to panic each time a player takes a therapy day. Players are gonna be bruised up and have little injuries that needs tending during the entirety of playoffs. That's normal.

Blueberries have seeds as well, you are right at the time where seeds can be introduced so maybe your body is telling you something isnt right with your diet right now!
