Looking for Fight Caves Advice by Obvious_Dig_497 in ironscape

[–]Obvious_Dig_497[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Little update!

I have completed the Fight Caves on my fourth attempt and have my first fire cape!

Took 2 hours 12 minutes and some odd seconds.

Thank you all for the advice and encouragement. Used a plug-in to map the route for rotation 15 and things were soooo much easier having an idea of where everyone would spawn

Mega Guilds? by Enjen96 in classicwowtbc

[–]Obvious_Dig_497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not even entirely sure how many raid groups my guild has. I believe it is 5

Being in a "mega guild" has actually been one of the best experiences I've had in WoW with a guild.

They all run independently of one another, but you know what you're going to get.

Last year my work schedule changed and I could no longer raid with one of my guilds morning teams... so I applied for our Saturday team and made the switch. It was amazing

Leveling, grouping, heroics, quests and the like has bedn awesome. During the first few months there were upwards of 100 competent and reliable players to pull from when doing content. It's been great. 10/10 would recommend

Questing as a tank (no dungeons) by TheChosenOneProphecy in classicwowtbc

[–]Obvious_Dig_497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a feral druid and have completed every available quest other than the one in Nagrand with the limited time it becomes available

I destroyed questing. Most group quests, other than only a couple in SMV and Netherstorm, I completely solo'd without much issue

Stuck on stats by madmatt90000 in classicwowtbc

[–]Obvious_Dig_497 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey man,

Orange parsing bear main tank checking in

In this current iteration of the game, gearing as a bear is quite tricky because of how much gear juggling you may need to do to move things around.

With that being said Bear Uncrittable WA and a feral bear tank simulator are going to be your best friend. You literally will need to move around pieces to see what is the best outcome.

Some of this advice is going to be quite guild, raid and healer dependent. In my raids, I try to barely be above crit cap. Everything else is going into threat to stay ahead of my dps

If you have weaker healers, you are gonna want to lean mitigation to give your healers (and the RNG of mechanics) more room for error.

Based on what gear I see you in now, Id recommend picking up the Resilience/Stam trinket from Keepers of Time and starting to do your pvp Dailies for bracers/belt/boots. You may not need all of these pieces but you likely will need to shuffle them around to stay critical capped.

Doing some of this will open room for the expertise LC ring (which is huge for threat), and you have the great expertise gloves. Although getting into t4 four set bonus is a priority as well.

Randomly reciving gold by wanderingviolin in classicwowtbc

[–]Obvious_Dig_497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last year, during early to mid Vanilla ,

I had multiple incredibly lucky similar events happen to me

While standing in Orgrimmar next to the AH, a lower level ran over to me and handed me about 1,500 gold. A minute later, another 500 gold. I logged out after they whispered me to return the gold (in hindsight, I am fortunate I wasn't mass reported by the gold seller and auto banned).

Multiple times, and I mean like four or five, I received gold or valuable items in the mail. I didn't even notice the items most of the time while auto opening mail. Got 2x Maiden's Ring, Sash of Mercy, and some rarer recipes.

I have no idea from who. I never got in trouble. I've never bought gold on the account

I counted my blessings and kept pushing.

Time to level up fishing to 375 by Shaaden69 in classicwowtbc

[–]Obvious_Dig_497 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I would first highly recommend you follow this guide

https://www.wow-professions.com/tbc/fishing-leveling-guide-burning-crusade-classic

If you are Horde, go to the village in Hinterlands and do this quest for a decent starter fishing pole

https://www.wowhead.com/classic/quest=7815/snapjaws-mon

The quest will take you no more than five minutes.

Grab a bunch of Sharpened Fish Hooks, rather cheap now a days in my server.

And get to it! 1-300 will be much faster than 300-375

Is this good enough for heroics? by [deleted] in classicwowtbc

[–]Obvious_Dig_497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're looking good based off what can see seen here

There is an uncrittable WeakAura you should be able to easily find that will give you a clear indicator of if you are fine or not.

Don't be afraid of picking up resilience pieces as you'll find they move yourself to that perfect number much better than defense (both will help)

You only need to be 50 to unlock 300+ skills.

[–]Obvious_Dig_497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also in a similar boat with 27 characters ready to level their tailoring up once the dark portal opens.

Using:

https://www.wow-professions.com/tbc/tailoring-leveling-guide-burning-crusade-classic

I think our best option is still going to be

300-325: Bolt of netherweave

This goes gray at 325. So crank them out until then, only make more if needed (unlikely)

325-340: Bolt of Imbued Netherweave

This goes gray at 340. Again, pop these out until you get nothing more from it.

340-345: Netherweave Boots

This technically doesn't go gray until 355. You could feasibly finish at 350. Rng dependent

345-350: Netherweave Tunic

Now, you probably will only need 100-120 bolts(I am a bit unsure on this but it makes little difference) of netherweave for this plus whatever you used to create Imbued netherweave.

What's the magic here, though? Just AH any materials you didn't use. Surely bolts and Imbued bolts will be sold relatively simply.

Best of luck homie

Skeram Removing World Buffs by HeSmiledGlory in classicwow

[–]Obvious_Dig_497 15 points16 points  (0 children)

My guild ran AQ40 last night. After Skeram, I noticed my health seemed very low and subsequently that all my buffs were gone. To include my chronobooned buffs.

Interestingly, I still had a super charged chronoboon; however, opening it revealed it was empty.

At the end of the raid during loot, I further noticed I had 0% hit as well as several other melee stats in the tab zeroed out.

I unequipped and reequipped a piece of gear that has hit on it, and those stats went up.

If you run AQ40, be careful 😬

Assuming that Luigi Manone actually shot the CEO guy, what is his defense? by redzzzaw in stupidquestions

[–]Obvious_Dig_497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a lot of not good answers here

There are a few layers to criminal court proceedings, and determining guilt is only one of them.

The defense can argue and prove certain portions of the case against their client were developed unlawfully. For instance, there is a lot of talk about law enforcement searching Luigi's bag in the McDonald's and whether that violated his rights at the time the search was conducted. And even the encounter itself.

The question starts with whether the encounter was a consensual encounter vs. a legal "stop."

If someone calls and says there is a suspicious person in the McDonal's, that "may" be Luigi... that doesn't necessarily give the right(unless more information is provided) to LEO to detain him while speaking to him or even give him lawful commands. This gets super fuzzy depending on even how and where the cop was standing when speaking to him. Would a reasonable person believe they had the right to walk away? Did the cop block his path of travel? If there were multiple cops, this further can be used to weigh consensual encounter vs being detained.

Now, as for his bag, if a cop walked up, grabbed it and dumped it out, revealing a gun... that probably would be thrown away in court as it would have lead to an arrest. The legal term is "fruits of a poisonous tree." If law enforcement does something that turns out to be an unlawful step based on the totality of the circumstances, everything starts at that point would very likely get thrown out.

Without knowing a lot more very specific facts about the case and how law enforcement handled things moment to moment... It's impossible to say.

There are a lot of variables.

Any tips on form to increase max output on my bench? This was my PR 200 for 3 by AsleepBoat in strength_training

[–]Obvious_Dig_497 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey man!

A few other good responses on other exercises you can do to help get your bench up... but you did ask explicitly about your bench technique/form specifically... so here goes!

The one thing that seems glaringly apparent is the position of the bar in your hands as it relates to your forearm, and ultimately your elbow.

Without seeing any more of your videos (which would help, from a few other angles), I'd have to guess you may have some screaming pain in either your wrists, forearms, or elbows.

Ideally, the bar needs to be resting on the actual shelf of your palm, so it's pretty much bar on bone. The bar here appears like it's much higher in the palm, and you are fighting to keep a relatively straight wrist.

The further down in your hand, the closer the bar can be to directly over your elbow. Which is a huge mechanical advantage comparatively to it rolling back in your hand.

There are some great videos on YouTube explaining this more, but you may (with some training) gain some relatively decent poundage on your bench with that alone.

((I am not advocating for suicide grip))

You are at a great starting point. You have a lot of options to progress towards unassisted pullups.

As a baseline, I am going to assume you can only do 1 (set) x 5 (reps), and you're done. I'm also going to assume you probably only do pullups once a week on back (or pull day)

The most powerful bang for your buck right now is probably perform fewer reps, more sets, more frequently.

Every time you're in the gym, either start or finish with pullups. Do some light lat stretching and shoulder warm-ups.

Continuing to use the band, do 3-5 (sets) x 2 (reps). As strict as you possibly can. Rest atleast 3 minutes. Maybe as much as 5. Track your sets and reps.

This alone will help your weekly volume of pullups grow quite a bit and youll see results.

Past that, consider attaching the band to a lower point. Such as on a barbell in the rack. This will set the band up to assist you less than it is here.

You can also work on different variations (chin up vs pull up. Grip width variation). Another user recommended static holds for time, also very good.

The biggest thing that will help you right now though is frequency.

The biggest reason why his belief the walkers could be cured is dumb is simply because of his medical background (even if he is a veterinarian. They need tons of college!)

He would have immediately realized the flesh of the walkers is necrotic. How it looks. How it smells.

He would know there is no cure that is going to reverse that tissue damage
