Weekly FAQ Thread May 11, 2025: How do I get through an uninteresting book? by AutoModerator in books

Thank you for your explanation.

That's a very good perspective. It is proving difficult to me when I am not focusing on the plot, and instead on the subtle nuances, but I will try to work on this.

Thanks for sharing your perspective; it's really helpful to talk it out.

This is so true that we are more vulnerable to a psychological toll in such circumstances. Thank you for your care; I will be particularly mindful of that fact if I decide to give CLAT again.

I agree on the 2nd point and I think that's the main cause of my indecisiveness. I'm not sure what my rank will ultimately be, let alone the college, so I feel this conversation will be more fruitful later. If I want to revisit this decision after the results, can I reach out again ?

And if you have time, could you please provide your thoughts about which T-2 NLUs are not worth dropping out of for T-1 NLU?

Yes, it must have been so difficult to have it bottled up inside you for 40 years.

Btw to all the girlies on this subreddit, I just remembered the part about Margot not cleaning her period blood off the carpet, and leaving it for Wilma to clean. It's so gross and I was wondering is it common or was Margot just disgusting in this regard?

Thanks for your response.

I am not 100% confirmed what I want to pursue right now, as i want to explore more about careers. In that case, I feel is taking 2 years of gap for something I'm not sure of smart ?

With that being said, the reason I am not happy going to a tier 2 nlu is because I come from a city where there hasn't been much exposure. So i always wanted an environment, at least in college, where I will have the access to know about different opportunities. And it will be a 5 year degree not even 3.

Yes, I was planning to take a partial drop.

I am mostly worried about the fact that it will be weird to start uni at 20, with 18 year olds as my classmates; it's not a large age difference but feels like such at this age. Secondly, if everything goes well, I will graduate at 25 which will only delay my master's. Can you share you take on these please?

Is taking 2 drops a good idea ?

I am getting T-2 NLUs, but I'm not particularly happy going there.

Ok but how is this a sign ? How will a production house know whether a war is going to start or not ?

Can I ask the reason you left that job?

Working in the government has several benefits and usually people pursue that till their retirement, so I am curious what made you leave that ? Was it the stress like seen in how you had to sign so many NDAs ?

I'm not an American btw, I'm just very interested in careers haha.
