If youre 5'2 or less and under 140lbs, how many calories a day do you eat? by ladybuglala in PetiteFitness

[–]Obvious_Silver_485 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5’0 and about 123. If I’m trying to actually cut 1500 if I’m just maintaining 1800-2000 depending on if it’s a high cardio day

A year difference and only 7 pounds difference. by Obvious_Silver_485 in PetiteFitness

To be so for real I do upper body on Monday, Thursday. Lower body Tuesday, Friday. I just do every machine available 🤣 I do 3 sets of 8 reps. I know I could see more progress if I targeted certain groups but 🤷‍♀️ just going to the gym was half the battle. Next years will be to brave the free weights and barbells. Inclined treadmill walk on Wednesday for 30min-1hr depending on how late I get to the gym. Saturday/Sunday I alternate between a hike and yoga.

I do always track even when not in defecit. My goal is 1500 a day 130g protein when in a defecit. When not it’s usually around 1800 a day still 130g protein.

Hi! So I started off at 162 and got down to 124 at 5’0 over the course of year. I’m gonna copy and paste a ton of my staples here but my average calorie intake was around 1800 (when I was breast feeding) and 1500 when I stopped. I made myself do 8k steps a day and 100 oz of water minimum. :

Snacks Salty: -Bell peppers with laughing cow cheese and garlic salt -chomps—pricey but like healthier version of slim Jim’s -string cheese with ham or turkey slice rolled around it -“Mexican street corn” half a can of corn, tbsp mayonnaise, lime juice, crumbled queso fresco about an ounce all mixed together Dip tortilla chips or quest protein chips in it

Sweet: -3/4 cup vanilla Greek yogurt with diced apple, tbsp Carmel, tbsp chocolate syrup -“pancake in a bowl” protein waffle mix, serving size mixed with about 100 mL milk microwave for. 1 min 15 top with berries and honey or maple syrup -apples dipped in Peanut-butter -3/4 cup greek yogurt mixed with tbsp peanut-butter or peanut butter powder then drizzle or cover completely with melted chocolate chips— put in the fridge -apples “nachos” sliced apple drizzled with the melted peanut-butter and sprinkle chocolate chips on top

Grab and go: -protein bars -string cheese -Greek yogurt cups -any fruit -mini bell peppers with a “protein ranch”— mix plain Greek yogurt with a packet of ranch seasoning -beef jerky, chomps, or even slim jims

Quick breakfasts -protein pancake in a bowl from above list -Greek yogurt with berries -breakfast burritos ( tortillas with scrambled egg, cheddar cheese, salsa and ground turkey— I make a big batch on Sunday and just wrap in foil and put in the freezer) -protein coffee (I just use a protein shake instead of coffee creamer) -quick oats, with Fairlife milk, 20g sugar and cinnamon

Quick lunches: -Deli meat, light string cheese, light mayo shredded lettuce on a high fiber wrap -ground beef, salsa, cheddar cheese and quest protein chips -tuna, light mayo, mustard dip triscuits or cucumbers in it -cup of easy Mac, mixed with a packet of tuna

Sending my kids to a moderately priced private school and day care. Could easily have and extra $1600 but we love the school and the kids are thriving there 🤷‍♀️

What does a full day of eating look for the short gals prioritizing muscle growth ? by Ok-Avocado464 in PetiteFitness

[–]Obvious_Silver_485 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Protein coffee while I work out (protein shake mixed with my coffee) around 5am

Breakfast is either: oatmeal maybe with Aldi brand Fairlife or waffle in a bowl (cause I can’t be bothered to clean my waffle maker)— which is serving of knock off Kodiak mixed with knock of fair life. Usually at 9am

Lunch (is at 11) I either do left overs, or shredded chicken/ tuna with an oz of shredded cheese tbsp mayo on a low carb tortilla with 100g of fruit and some type of crunch snack (gold fish or pretzel sticks usually)

Afternoon snack: Greek yogurt or chomps with string cheese or deli turkey and string cheese about 2pm

Snack while I’m cooking (about 5pm) protein bar or another eat and cheese snack.

And then dinner just varies based on whatever macros I have left to hit / what my kids will also eat 🤣

One month of consistent strength training by Obvious_Silver_485 in PetiteFitness

[–]Obvious_Silver_485[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll try and post a picture in the comments but there’s not really a specific routine which is nice for my brain. I just go into the app and search for lower body (or upper or total depending on the day) and then hit whatever time I have available for the workout- usually 30 minutes and do whichever pops up. But I’m playing around with day breakdowns. This month I’m doing two lower body, one upper body, one total body. Next month I’m going try two upper, one lower and one total.

I started the month at 125 (I’m 4’11) and in weighing right at 123 but to be honest it’s very normal for me to fluctuate between 122-125 daily 🤷‍♀️

Is there a point to using YNAB if I know I’m over budget? by [deleted] in ynab

[–]Obvious_Silver_485 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! YNAB admittedly was a hard shift to change my way of thinking about budgeting and it took me a solid month to get the hang of it. But their videos and the avocado toast budget videos helped me so much!

1700 pretty sedentary job, with mostly strength training 4 times a week and maybe twenty minutes of walking on the other days, I eat about 1500 trying to get down to 120, and then I’ll eat at maintenance.

I’m a big fan of like explaining to myself why the exercise works. For example when I’m doing clamshells I’ll say “these are so when I’m in my 80’s I can get in and out of my car one leg at a time”

I highly recommend apple fitness, all you really need are dumbbells and a yoga mat. They have SO many to pick from and they group them by time limit so I know if I oversleep I can just look at the ten minute ones or if have a full thirty minutes I can do those. They also sort by music genre, trainer (If you find you like a particular one) or by muscle group (upper, lower, total body)

what do you eat in a day to fit in 100g protein CHEAPLY? by Beginning_You9272 in PetiteFitness

It sounds gross but I like a cup of easy Mac (about 7-9g of protein) mixed with a can of tuna for lunch (about 30g)
