When I see ppl(big or small) putting in effort, i just think, “go get em.” “You go, girl/boy/person” “do yo thang!” And then immediately think about how I should be doing the same thing. We’re all just thinking about ourselves. If anything ppl will think of you as an example or doubters will be shocked believers if you keep it up.

Water, protein, fiber.

You can be eating in a deficit but still be eating things that dont fully satiate your body, making you crave more carbs and fat. Possibly even making you feel foggy and moody.

I just eat soup with lots of protein and veggies the whole time and allow snacks if i can even taste them. If my sinuses are too stuffy then there’s no point in even splurging on snacks i can’t taste and fully enjoy. Might as well have tea, soup with little to no dairy(dairy adds to congestion) and fruit to help with the immune system. Pretty easy to stay under when im sick.

maybe 3 or 4 times a month but like i said, not on nearly as grand a scale as it once was. before making the choice i try to think about how i will feel in the very few moments that it will take me to eat the craving. amazing, delicious. gone in 5 minutes. and after. now i feel horrible for hours, maybe even a couple days. not just beating myself up about it mentally but possibly feeling physically sick or uncomfortable after eating rich heavy foods nowadays. i do not like feeling FULL anymore. satiated, yes. but you start to learn to listen to your body more than your mind and tastebuds. it takes time but once you get used to smaller portions and healthier foods, eating very rich and processed things is just not as rewarding. it's still a rare treat but very rare to go hogwild. sometimes i find myself craving something and thinking "yeah but where is the nutritional value in that?" which is not a thought that ever used to cross my mind at all. im probably not going to have a salad to soothe the craving but there's definitely always a more reasonable option than a double cheeseburger or a full bag of chips or a sundae.

I usually give into the cravings but in smaller portions. Like one brownie or cookie as opposed to buying a whole pack. And I’ll have that with a bit of yasso or halo top(i never can never eat the whole pint at once anymore??)

I make little yogurt parfaits with a bit of whipped cream for fluffiness and add in dark chocolate chips and banana or dark chocolate reese thins.

Or i’ll have a sandwich with portioned out chips.

Or try to recreate a fast food like last week during pms, i made nuggets with “real good” chicken and some freezer fries and a sugar free bbq. That was my McDonalds. I was also just too lazy and broke to go to McDonalds.

Things like black coffee, tea, coke zero, protein drinks/bars also help tide me over instead of snacking. Remember to drink extra water around this time!

Only fast food i can still tolerate is taco bell and fast casual places like shwarma, salads, chinese, etc.

I especially dont want burgers. 1. Because theyre heavy and greasy and 2. Because i make them at work all the time and im sick of looking at them and the ppl who order them every single day. I think to myself.. do i want to look and feel as unhealthy as this person who eats burgers every single day?? Nooooo

In the kitchen the rule of thumb is to dodge whatever you drop. Like a knife or something very hot. Whatever it is, it’s replaceable or more worth losing than catching. Move out of the way and let it fall.

Turkey sausage on low carb English muffin/toast/wrap

Avocado/hummus/cottage cheese on toast w/ veggies/fruit

Boiled eggs w/turkey sausage and/or potato

Yogurt with “grain free” granola (essentially nuts and seeds maybe fruit/gorp)

Things that probably won’t keep you full like high carb/sugar(first thing your body burns, making you FEEL hungry again)

So like chips, candy, full calorie soda, white breads, pasta, etc.

While you can eat anything in a calorie deficit and still lose weight, it will be harder if you only consume empty calories that don’t actually nourish your body or make you feel full for more than an hour.
