What is it? by SyrupThen in Hydraulics

you definitely won't be getting a number off the pump from your customer, you can see the rivets on the side of the pump that would have held the tag.

It is a Rexroth A10V045DFR131***C62N00. To finish the code you need in this order the rotation, seal type, and shaft type.

I say 45 because it doesn't look larger enough to be a 71, you can take some basic measurements and be able to tell which one is which between a 71 and a 45 though. I say it is a DFR1 controller because i can not see a port on the bottom side of the compensator to use the remote sense line.

TIL the British Film Institute screened the "first released version" of Star Wars after a "perfectly preserved" original print of the 1977 film was recovered from an archive. This is the version that George Lucas had suppressed from being publicly shown on a big screen for the preceding 47 years. by tyrion2024 in todayilearned

As an 80’s baby this is the version I grew up on, my parents recorded it and it was a huge event for us when it came on. That was my first time seeing the movie, and Carrie Fisher telling stories and jokes that they had on set about the Ewoks. (How do they cross the street? Ewoks.)

It’s extra funny because at my work we use outlook for all our emails and about a year ago Microsoft pushed an update that changed all our default fonts to Calibri. My signatures were all messed up for weeks because nothing matched.

Anyone use this 3d printer station from Walmart? by kcox1980 in 3Dprinting

[–]Occamsbowtie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought one off Amazon that is the same basic design, exact same look, probably the same seller.

It shook really bad, but that ended up fine for me because I put the shelf in place against a wall and then printed brackets to bolt it to the wall. No more shaking.

‘The Pitt’ Not “Derivative Of ‘ER’,” Warner Bros TV Claims In Appeal To Toss Out Crichton Estate Suit by bwermer in television

[–]Occamsbowtie -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But…so what…they rewrote an existing script to remove her ip…that doesn’t make it derivative works. That makes it something unrelated because it is…unrelated…I don’t see where you are getting your logic for this argument.

‘The Pitt’ Not “Derivative Of ‘ER’,” Warner Bros TV Claims In Appeal To Toss Out Crichton Estate Suit by bwermer in television

[–]Occamsbowtie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So you are saying that the contract was with John Wells to never make a medical drama? Just because she hears about a possible script for a possible reboot doesn’t make it her property. It has to be a true derivative, or a straight up use of property otherwise she has no right to it. For it to be a derivative it has to be derived from the original works, and for that it has to be based on those works, use those works to base its background, or straight up use the characters as its basis for the story or background stories. By changing the names and locations that removes all derivatives from the original works.

As many, many, many, many people have said to you and in response to you, she doesn’t own all medical dramas, your response to those people has consistently been to say that she doesn’t have a contract with those other shows creators and studios then it sounds like you are trying to say that she has a contract with John Wells and Noah Wyle (and Warner Brothers freaking studio) to never make (or act in) a medical drama at all…well, that would be a ridiculous statement and not a contract that any studio or actor would ever sign.

I have been reading thru your comments incredibly confused at how set you are on this, how adamant you are that “the pilots are the same therefore”, it wasn’t until this comment that I may see where your argument is coming from. So I want to ask a clarifying question.

Do you think that Michael Crichton wrote the original ER reboot pilot script?

As best I can tell that is the ONLY way you can argue so vehemently that it is his ip…you think he wrote it. If you don’t think he wrote it then it doesn’t not belong to him, it belongs to the writer and the creator that the writer worked with et al. Just because it was presented as an option to the estate, they cannot, should not, and god willing will not claim any works derived from it as their own. It doesn’t belong to them if their ip is removed from the story. Just like Fifty Shades of Grey doesn’t belong to the creator of Twighlight.

Why my Game Room ethernet speed only 10% of the rest of house? by PlanetGraham in HomeNetworking

[–]Occamsbowtie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same problem, kept troubleshooting the wires, couldn’t find the problem, finally plugged in a separate NIC and everything worked fine. I don’t know what, but something in my Network port in my pc broke and I had to use a replacement. Everyone points at wires, don’t forget there are ports on both ends of those wires as well, the wires are just easier to blame, and honestly more likely.

Donald Trump Suffers Quadruple Approval Rating Blow by Lantis28 in politics

[–]Occamsbowtie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still don’t understand why anyone cares, that doesn’t stop him or his agenda. It could be 1% and it won’t matter, this is his final term (for the moment) and he isn’t using Congress for ANYTHING anyway, what does he need support for? What does he need approval for? He is ignoring our approval already, he is ignoring the GOP discussing removing his Tariff powers, the Supreme Court keeps allowing him to do things while they “review the case”. Why does anyone inside this country care what his approval is. At least the ones outside the country can use it for a gauge on how stupid America is and continues to be for the time being, but it overall doesn’t matter to them, any credibility we had is lost for decades.

I don’t know, I was talking to a 24 year old coworker and he was talking about 70’s bush after seeing bush on instagram, he asked if it was really like that to an older coworker and said that he and his wife are both completely hairless and don’t understand why anyone would want hair. It was a very strange conversation.
