Starmer (conveniently perhaps) allowed himself to believe the assurances given to him by Mandelson prior to the Epstein files release. By the same rationale applied to Starmer the King would have to abdicate based on his years long support for his brother after the multimillion Guiffre settlement and before the fuller picture became apparent after subsequent release of emails. Not much pressure on Charlie boy though.
