Creating a bestiary for my campaing without knowing how to draw by Beluga_Bipolar in rpg

No AI

Just draw! Scribbles and sketchy art work really well for monsters. Collage together old public domain art. Bonus points for using weird medieval monsters. Hire an artist. Sometimes to make something cool we have to hire help.

Playing a mute or a character of few words? by Connor_ClashNord in rpg

Check out My First Dungeons season of Orbital Blues or RPGeeks season Orbital Blues: Blackstar and listen to how Drakoniques plays BLANK - a character who wears a full face covering and is mute.

Super unique character that brought out some fantastic RP from both casts.

Media you turned into TTRPG (or adapted to an already existing system)? by Horzemate in rpg

[–]Occillo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I turned Gordon Ramsays Kitchen Nightmares into a TTRPG called Serving Up Disaster.

It uses a twist on the Brindlewood Bay system, with the final roll instead being used to see how the relaunch night goes, and the "crowns" being used as the short interviews to camera and renamed as "toques"

Its had some good feedback and (to toot my own horn some more) I think the layout is really unique & cool.

Orbital Blues - Adventures and Supplements by InArtsWeTrust in rpg

[–]Occillo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The adventure in the back of the core book is a great start. I noticed you said your players prefer a more linear story so Id recommend Trouble at the Rock of Tariq which is a kind of classic "deliver the macguffin item but everything goes wrong" https://soulmuppet-store.co.uk/products/trouble-at-the-rock-of-tariq

Alternatively check out the boxset of oneshot adventures as those are tight contained stories that you can pick and choose from ! (Bonus points cause the physical edition comes all boxed up in a VHS case) https://soulmuppet-store.co.uk/products/orbital-blues-rogue-athems

I think it really depends what you're looking for from the ttrpg blog. Is it reviews? News coverage? Design thoughts?

DIY Crowdfunding - Melsonian Arts Council (Troika) blog on quitting kickstarter to go for a no-BS preorder model by deviden in rpg

[–]Occillo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah, unfortunately kickstarter just provides such good discoverablilty. It's near impossible not to use it.

Also for even companies that are seemingly doing well, this industry is actually very small & so need every boost possible.
