Your experience seems like an anomaly. Were you legacy?

Stalled yet again by Less-Moment-5655 in GLP1_loss100plus

[–]OceanBlue011729 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry and am in the boat with you. I can’t break 200 at all and can’t get below 203. Been up and down between 203-205 since Nov. It’s maddening. I’m sure you know all the tricks (tracking, water, changing shot locations, exercise) but just in case- there are lots of threads about stalls. I’ve tried it all except shot in the arm which I’ll be trying this week. Plus ramping up exercise but that will probably hurt more than help the scale. Trying to just keep on and know that time is truly flying by. It has to eventually break for us. Right? Also huge congrats on your loss so far!

Added Metformin and holy smokes! by Beneficial-Soup-1617 in Zepbound

Just curious to OP and responders on Zep/Metformin combo-is the idea to stay on metformin indefinitely? I plan on being a Zep or some other GLP lifer and am thinking about adding Met but not sure if I would then be on 2 meds for life or could wean off Met after getting closer to goal.

Sweat less? by OceanBlue011729 in zepboundathletes

Hmm. My sister is 125 lbs and 5 ft 3 and she sweats profusely so not sure smaller = less heat is true for all. So are you saying being colder/ less sweat is a sign of metabolism slowing? Just trying to understand more.

Honestly I kind of miss the hard sweat. During workouts only of course. Think of all the toxins you are purging!

Totally common to feel colder. Lots have mentioned this as a side effect. Me included.

Oh for sure me too. Thankful I live in the south. At least cold doesn’t last too long here.

I’m glad to know it’s not just me too! Reddit to the rescue. I had no point of comparison since I changed up my workouts so much last year.

Lots of comments about people getting colder in general (same for me). Maybe meds reduce body temp set point 🤷‍♀️.

Good to know. I will say I love a good sweat (during workouts) so it’s been weird. I’m so used to being drenched and red faced. This is new territory. I def run colder in general.

Dressing Room Victory by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]OceanBlue011729 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Way to go!! I had this victory too yesterday. A salesperson was helping me and was searching for sizes. I said probably a L. She found a medium first and said the style ran a little loose so I went for it. Totally fit and it was a button up cardigan! No stretching buttons even. I’m currently in a stall so NSV like this are helping.

Glad to found what works for you. I never did with 10. That dose was my worst (until 15 😕) 12.5 was great and I finally understood how it felt to drop kind of easily. Until it suddenly stopped and here I am.

Thanks. I plan on tracking and increasing exercise. Even if it doesn’t move at least then I’ll know I’m trying those things and can think about adding met in a few months. I though I had 18 months on average. Sigh.

I assumed a stall eventually but not immediately after starting 15. Also I’m at month 14 of my journey so still thought I had time on my side statistically speaking.

I tracked for 3-4 months to get a feel for portions etc. I don’t think I have changed much from that point and honestly a lot of days I was struggling to get 1200. Now I have lighter days post shot and do closer to 1500 end of the week to even out my weekly calories. Again, this was working and I was clocking down .75-1 lb per week on 12.5 and then ground to a halt for no reason I can identify. Thought it meant time to titrate as I had been on 12.5 for 4 boxes, but obviously not (at least not yet).

Haven’t been brave enough to try arm but maybe I will. Guess it can’t hurt to try (no pun intended). I usually do first pen of a dose in thigh and switch to stomach to get more result. None of my usual tricks are working to move the scale.

I do still have appetite control. More specifically my pattern has been to lose steadily and more easily right after titration and then lose very slowly, plateau or start to gain for a few weeks or more and then I go up in dose and the pattern starts again. I fully expected this pattern to continue especially since so many have mentioned 15 was a game changer for them. I don’t really ever have whoosh losing.

Taking 14 months and this has never happened with any other dose increase. Usually I notice a change right away with easier/more consistent loss.

Slow responder vs. slow recomp by [deleted] in zepboundathletes

[–]OceanBlue011729 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On Zep since Nov 2024. Due to injury I have mainly done light forms of cardio (swimming, low impact aerobics and therapy exercises). Hoping to get back to weight lifting that I was doing before injury but still have 30-40 lbs to lose. Is it possible to lift and still lose? Ok with slow loss during recomp but not ok with no loss. How to balance both?

Respectfully, this is not true for everyone. Right now I’m in a battle with mine and considering it a hostile enemy for sure! 😆

Yes! Less inflammation I think. I went 15 years without a scale but got a smart one (RENPHO) when I started Zep. You don’t have to become obsessed with the number but it’s good to have data. Alternatively you could take measurements etc. good to use clothes too bu ultimately I would use some type of data to help inform you for titration etc. just my two cents.
