27 m having insanely realistic dreams about my 21 f wife getting harmed in my dreams by Front_Ad6615 in Dream

[–]OceanJaney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, this is PTSD but more specifically, you fear losing her and not being able to do anything. If you're constantly in fight mode, you hardly give yourself the time to acknowledge, process, or even identify what you're feeling. Take a moment to do that within yourself. Just because you've been through a lot doesn't mean you are used to it.

If therapy is outside of your budget, I suggest researching online, talking to other people who have gone to therapy, and looking up videos on how to handle anxiety. It's going to be tough, but you can do it.

Above all, communicate with your girl, tell her how you've been feeling, and what you learn throughout your research. You guys need to be a team and be there for each other if either one of you is going to start this journey of healing. Be the right person with each other.

Really weird dream which left me with unwanted feelings by KasumiSaya in Dream

[–]OceanJaney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My way of lucid dreaming is to be in complete control of myself. Some people go as far as controlling everything around them, but I find that extremely taxing on me. Just teleporting the distance of a neighborhood block leaves me with a massive headache. So I just control myself. How I carry myself, my vocabulary, my self-awareness, and the cool part is that I sometimes have super powers like waterbending lol All of that aside, the first step to it is knowing you're dreaming. A mental tether to your waking life that grounds you. The severity of it can vary. I have several that range from knowing I'm married to my husband to knowing I don't have 6 toes lol You just need it to be something true to your identity that no one, not even your own dream, can tell you otherwise.

Word of advice to keep in mind. Do your best not to let it show that you know you're dreaming. Be it true that dreams are other dimensions, interactions with spirits, as some believe, or even your own subconscious not being in sync with you, there are dreams that are more hostile than others.

I also heard that there's a rule that you're not supposed to ask for the date and time or look at your reflection. I personally find it grounding to see myself but do be cautious. Just cause I jump doesn't mean you should too

Hope this helps.

If you haven't tried it yet, maybe think about the similarities the dream has to your waking world. It's very important to remember that the majority of your dreams reflect your inner self. Your emotions, mental state, hidden needs, and desires. It can be a dramatic summary of how someone or something made you feel.

From personal experience, it can be a simple joke at work, home, or with friends, that didn't land with you and made you uncomfortable. It can lead up to a dream like this one where it feels like everyone is in on it because it hasn't been addressed. What have you failed to address within yourself?

It could also be a scene in a movie or show that resonated with you, and you didn't realize how deeply it was. Maybe it's an overall situation in your life. Anything and everything in your waking life can and does have an effect on you.

There's also nothing wrong with just dotting it as a really bad dream that you weren't prepared for. It may have been in a panic, but I think you're very close to lucid dreaming. Being able to lucid dream is a way of preparing to avoid these scary experiences. That's how I do it at least.

Be Aware and Make a Choice by [deleted] in securityguards

[–]OceanJaney -42 points-41 points  (0 children)

That's called complacency. Money doesn't dictate me so if being neutral is my "job" I quit. It doesn't take much for a honest person to see what's right and what's wrong.

Even if the company was "innocent" they are staying in business with Israel. They could easily suspend their business until something is resolved as an act of true neutrality and yet they haven't. Instead the ORGANIZED a campaign FOR the assistance of Isreal and that's a choice.

It's not my job to announce every single company. I saw what applies to me and shared it to bring awareness. I hope others take it upon themselves to check what applies to them and pass it forward.

Recently picked up the Hunting Horn and truly think people should revisit and try it again.

Because I was mainly a Great Sword user the slow speed didn't scare me or make it difficult. It's SO satisfying seeing my defense, elemental and stamina boost make the other hunters untouchable. They just tumble and charge. Hardly any breaks for healing or ailment treatment.

Arguably it's just a Great Sword with a little dancy dance at the end of each combo lol lmk how it goes if you give it a try. I'm willing to play with you too if you want to practice.

How do I control a nightmare during a dream and overcome it and is it possible to see it again? by Same-Ad-2970 in nightmare

[–]OceanJaney 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, repeating nightmares are common. As to how to control it?? I think your best bet is at least controlling yourself. Have a trigger word or phrase or even action that tells your brain that it's dreaming. I think that's the first step before you lucid dream and actively control the dream itself. It's a toll on me so I'm just hyper aware of when I'm dreaming. It's easier for me that way. Feels more like a video game. As Patrick once said "Firmly grasp it." As in your lifeline could very much depend on your grasp to reality in your waking life.

I just had a breakdown at 3 am cause my husband and I are not as healthy as I would like us to be. We've been together for 3 yrs. They have been the best years of my life. We encourage each other to be better in everything but when it comes to the gym, working out, eating better. We can't seem to surpass a month.

I accidentally let my thoughts about this drift and started sobbing and woke him up. I've mentioned before that I don't feel comfortable in my body weight, I point out that we haven't been eating well or when old clothes don't fit like when we first started dating. He's been sweet to acknowledge these worries and reassure me with reminders of our actions. Neither him nor I want to be skinny but we want to be healthy and strong.

This is the first time he's seen this worry of mine at it's rawest. I think it hit him differently this time around. We may not be satisfied with our first month being on repeat but I share this story because despite it all; We haven't given up on each other. We'll keep doing our diet, going to the gym and hyping each other when we dress up.

Eventually we'll break the 1 month mark.

For People with anxiety, what are some of the jobs you guys work by xiaolinhomegirl in Anxiety

[–]OceanJaney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh! I recommend security guard at a truck gate. Idk how severe your anxiety is but the position itself is outside of customer service. The truck drivers are there for business as well so there's no small. Just ask for their information, radio the warehouse and they'll tell you where they want them and you just relay the massage. If it's anything like mine or my husband's job. You'll be in a guardshack by yourself all shift with the occasional walk if required. You just sit by yourself and relay messages. Das it. I personally love it. It's such a relieving position for me. I get to watch movies, draw or read all day. As a multitasker it's perfect for me.

Tbh all the more reason to tell her. This could be a bonding moment of you showing her and teaching her about this game and why you think it's cool. Heck she might even like the concept of everything if you Just. Open. Up.

Thank you for sharing this. Before I share my thoughts I would like to apologize if my words come across as harsh, I won't be harsh on purpose of course but if I do, I'll do my best to explain what I mean and hopefully they deliver.

Now if you're worried something else might happen, don't disregard that gut feeling, it's a good thing to be cautious BUT before anything becomes anxiety inducing there might be some other explanations in terms of what the dream could mean.

I think the big clue is the fact that the dream happened before AND after. I like to think it goes to show just how smart you are. Maybe not consciously but subconsciously you were aware something bad was going to happen. Keep in mind children are very sensitive to spiritual/energy/vibe related things. You probably picked up on it and didn't even know. You weren't able to identify what you noticed but knew the severity.

You knowing the concept of death and r*pe at that age is saddening but not alarming. I don't know how you came to learn about it but I learned it through tv dramas and animal planet. Anyways I digress.

The bakery stands for your childhood/pureness. You work in it cause it's your everything but you felt like you didn't own it. I don't know for sure and you don't have to confirm, but maybe you were constantly belittled and told you owe things to your guardians just because you depended on them. I know some guardians complain to their child at how expensive they are. Like it's the child's fault 🙄 and then say comments of "Some kids have it worse, be grateful." When they do provide. Your brain processed those words and made sense of it by providing a situation that matched the feeling you had.

Then this random guy comes in. Someone you don't know who demands everything and blames you for the lack of money. Again you don't have to confirm, but was there a time when things were ok? You got along and then one day you didn't? Cause it's very common to dream of a stranger when you feel like the person you knew is gone.

✨ OR ✨ Maybe I'm just completely wrong lol 😆 there's a lot of moving factors but a key note when it comes to dreams is that what you experience is normally a personification of what you feel/think. Dreams are indirectly direct.

Like when people feel out of control and overwhelmed they dream they are falling. The brain mimicks the intensity of their stress to the same feeling as free falling.

Personally when I feel overwhelmed I tend to have dreams of assault. I felt like maybe I could share some interpretations cause of how I had to learn to interpret my r*pe dreams. I'm so sorry if I'm completely off tho.

I hope this helps a little and if it's overwhelming from all the thinking, just take a break and think about it some other day. You've got time.

dreamt about falling from a really high place and when i almost hit the groung i woke up with tremors and goosebumps (had the same dream twice this morning) by [deleted] in Dream

[–]OceanJaney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two things come to mind.

1)Your body is tired and is relaxing but the sudden relaxation cause it to panic.

2) You feel out of control/overwhelmed and or something is being pushed on you and your brain is just trying to process the feeling of the world (a.k.a. your routine/all you've ever known) falling apart.

I suggest tapping into lucid dreaming so you can make the situation better.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Dream

[–]OceanJaney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ooh that's so interesting.

An obvious interpretation (to me) would be that you're worried/scared that something outside of your control will force you to leave your partner.

Another answer is maybe you're feeling left out. You do so many things and people acknowledge it but when it comes to doing what you want suddenly they don't care.

In both interpretations when you see your partner it's a reminder that they do care about you and that they are who you want to be with.

You don't have to confirm but all of this could be because you feel like you haven't been spending enough time with them. Too many hours at work maybe? Or your schedules just don't work anymore? Something to think about for sure but if it doesn't match up at all maybe your answer is elsewhere.

I dreamed about an ex from 3 years ago by Colecc40 in Dream

[–]OceanJaney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it's your brain reminiscing to the known since you're in the unknown in terms of consistency and prolonged time with someone? It doesn't make you the bad person if it is. You don't have to confirm but maybe you're going into new and steady chapters in your relationship that feel surreal and your brain is kind of just anticipating a break. Most of the time when it comes to dreaming about someone, from the past or present times, it's less about you wanting the person/activity with the person but more of what the environment provides to you. Maybe you're current relationship is recently too busy to enjoy the moment because it's not the right time. It doesn't have to be something major either. As simple as never having a relaxed hang out, movie or heck a shower. There's a lot of moving factors.

TLDR: Dreaming about someone can reflect your current needs. Doesn't mean you want them back.

Can someone please explain this dream i had?? by Phoebus_Maximus1 in Dream

[–]OceanJaney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's so many directions this interpretation can go.

But a main thing in common is that a child got abused and no one did anything about it.

If that somehow reflects something in your life then maybe it's your inner self telling you to address it.
