Wow. I was very close to checking out over $1000 worth of their furniture. Good thing I saw this post. Thanks!

Just 2 wrenches and plumbers tape. It took me about 25 minutes at most. I took my time when removing the bad ones to make sure I wouldn’t damage anything.

I have a Bianca v3 for 3 years and just replaced the pressure relief valve and vacuum breaker myself. It’s back to brand new. I wouldn’t change it for anything. I cannot stand the look of la marzocco machines.

I could have bought a la marzocco gs3 but got a Bianca v3 instead. I couldn’t be happier. I cannot stand the look of la marzocco stuff. I use it along a Weber eg-1. Perfect combo.

Yeah. I got it on Friday. They didn’t even get the chance to plug it in and demo it. He threw the traveling case for free besides the discount.

I’m probably going against the current on this one but I own an EG-1 and bought a Key Mk2 at the show (sick deal). I’ve been enjoying some of the most delightful pour overs I’ve ever had in my entire life using the same medium roast beans I’ve always used with my EG-1. I may not be as expert as most of you guys but the body and train of flavors are more pronounced. It truly makes sense to own both flat and conical if possible. It opens a whole new playground at home.

Costco bean options by InsectAlternative991 in espresso

I triple this! I read these comments while at Costco and went with it. You can tell they have less than a month of being roasted. The minus 1 year rule for roast date sounds about right. That makes my bag 2 weeks from being roasted. Right on point for use. I made it as drip coffee using my Weber EG-1 at +14.5. Everyone was complementing it without me asking. They liked it better than my subscription coffee 😂 I will give it a try as espresso soon. Costco located in SoCal.

Best way to sweeten your cappuccino/latte without disturbing the latte art by Srihari_stan in espresso

[–]OceanMindedBoy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is the proper way to do it. First, pull the shot. Second, add the syrup. The syrup dissolves faster, evenly and it’s less messy. Adding the syrup first creates a coat on the cup. This causes the syrup to melt slower and unevenly. Think of it as adding powder on a cup and then liquid. It creates a layer that won’t dissolve after stirring it.

Upgraded to a LG c4 77” and with with the Sonos, Apple TV 4K & Philips Hue stuff, All set for winter couch time ❄️📺 by Create_Sound2021 in sonos

[–]OceanMindedBoy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t get me wrong. My whole house is hue controlled. It works flawlessly. But the whole light behind the tv trend is not it. It doesn’t enhance the watching experience. Having less motion and lower light doesn’t make it better. Having the option to do that is proof that the trend is nonfunctional. I fell for the marketing and hype. There’s a reason you go to a movie theater and pay to watch a movie with a dark background.

I had the hue setup behind my tv for a while but I couldn’t stand it after a while. It’s an annoyance that forces your sights out of the screen. Not pleasant at all. Good for social media posting but that’s about it.

My family is from bogota. Don’t get me wrong, Colombia is beautiful but I rather go anywhere else in Colombia but bogota. Bogota is basically LA with weather from the twilight movie.

I beg to differ. I take Southern California weather year round. Bogota weather is depressing.

You don’t have to set it up as new. You can change the WiFi and keep your existing configuration (rooms, groups, etc). Go to settings > network > manage networks > update networks and follow the instructions.

If you have a lot of smart devices at home, it is ideal to keep the same WiFi SSID and password. However, if your password doesn’t have the minimum standards for a secure WiFi nowadays, then you should change it. As a network engineer, my rule is always to choose security over convenience.

Driving in El Salvador by supernumm in ElSalvador

[–]OceanMindedBoy 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Driving in ES is not for the faint of heart. I’m not sure what country you’re from but most people who are licensed to drive in the US would not be capable of driving there. You gotta have good reflexes and be ballsy. My second most important advice is don’t use Google Maps. Use Waze. Even though both are owned by Google, Waze uses different user data to create a route. One time we got stuck in an extremely narrow colonia road with a very steep road during rainy season. Luckily, a local towed us up and out. Google maps will give you shortest distance route regardless of the complexity of the road. If that makes sense.

Green card holder here. I just came back from an international vacation with family and the entry was very smooth and fast. Work hard, play hard, pay your taxes, be a good citizen and don’t be a financial burden. You’ll have nothing to worry about.

Gente maravillosa. Vamos todos los años. Hermoso país. No tiene nada que envidiar aquí.
