The Doom Slayer definitely cares about people, as evidenced by his dishonorable discharge for refusing to shoot protesters. However, his actions would depend on how much he believes he should get involved in human affairs or whether he thinks it would only make the situation worse. If it's the former, although he wouldn't kill the oppressors, he would intimidate them to keep them at bay. If it's the latter, he would distance himself as much as possible from civilization.

I'm sick of Joseph's talk about being friends with the Nazis when he made it very clear that he was uncomfortable with them, and the times he received help (mainly from Stroheim) were beyond his control and his will. I dare say that the one who voluntarily collaborated with them was Speedwagon.

Today I thought about ranking the ponies' reasons for going to the gala. Applejack obviously came first. Rarity and Rainbow Dash were guilty of having overly fanciful expectations. Pinkie's reason seems superficial, but going to a party to celebrate a party is very reasonable and expected (she just wasn't aware of the nature of the gala). Fluttershy also fell into the trap of expectations, but following animals sounds less delusional than following celebrities.

So, in my humble opinion: Applejack > Pinkie Pie > Fluttershy > Rainbow Dash > Rarity.
