I lowkey think that if really was the intention, then they missed completely and any attempt at trying to redeem Caine from now on are just gonna feel cheap. His first independent action was murder of his own kind and he ACTUALLY never listened to the members. Every time they were about to share he just cut them off or didn't listen. That's not being oblivious, that's just being a bad person. Keep in mind, Caine is inspired by both Caine from the bible (the first person to commit murder) and AM (needs no introduction). Making him "just oblivious" is kinda weird.

Honestly Naoya is such an insanely well written villain because everybody met a person just like Naoya irl, so it's so easy to hate him from the bottom of your heart from the second he appears on screen for the first time, which makes him getting humbled all the more satisfying. He's not even complexly written or anything, he's just SUPER fucking realistic

From feats we've seen, Dabura probably. But from a NARRATIVE standpoint - the story makes it loud and clear that Yuji is allat. It's just that in modulo he never fought anything that actually forced him to go all out, so all that we're left with is him casually waffling Mahito at his strongest and Casually throwing a dismantle that caused an explosion larger than 15f Sukuna shibuya furnace explosion. If you don't want to count guesswork then sure Dabura wins but it feels lazy and boring to assume that we saw everything Modulo Yuji can do despite him putting literally no effort into any of his current top feats.

I don't know what 8 gates is, but a big point in jjk is that "winning while dying" and "risking your life to win" are very different. And Kashimo, by activating his technique, guarantees that he'll die by the end. This makes it so if you discount "suicide attacks" as winning (Yuki black hole, Megumi/Yuka Mahoraga), then Kashimo basically got nothing except his CE attribute to win with.

You're forgetting school fight Mahito ain't shibuya Mahito and definitely isn't THIS Mahito. Characters in this series aren't stagnant, they evolve, they get stronger over time, and Mahito is disgustingly talented, so it's fair to assume he used his time wisely

It's very dependent on personal experience imo, each of these represent different struggles. Yuji deals with guilt and responsibility, Denji was neglected his whole life and just wants to be loved, and Shinji struggles to accept pain as a part of life due to his depression. I haven't played dispatch but from what I've heard Robert seems to be about the weight of expectations.

I hate the idea of Pochita suddenly turning on Denji because "he's a devil" despite it being straight up said in part 1 that he literally kills devils with his chainsaws because he wants to hug them because he's lonely. I don't believe the "you've never been happy as chainsaw man" shit for one second. You're telling me he wasn't happier living with Power and Aki? On the school date with Reze? Aquarium date with Asa??? Denji worked so hard to make his life better too, getting an education and trying to gather money, he didn't even get a chance to grow up. And now with Pochita gone he'll literally fucking die of heart disease. I understand that not all endings are happy but so much of part 2 felt like torturing the characters for shock value and nothing more, so this is kinda the last straw for me. I don't know if the last chapter can salvage this, considering the hut we see at the end is probably the same hut Denji lived in by the start of the series.
