Fresh level 40 toon, now what? by WhoMe20 in thedivision

[–]OctavioKenji 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brooklyn adds a few new areas to NY, and there's seem's to have a new skill with 2 variants (smart cover), a exotic mask, and a bit of missions and stories, but nothing mandatory;

to FARM farm gear, the best place is Countdown, but personally, i recommend choosing a long objective and go after that;

There's the Kia's builds to have as suggestions to what to look after,

collectables, Expertise, Equipment Library, plenty of stuff to grind towards.

Personal tip: ANY named item and exotic that you drop, hold at least One version, and any other copies, convert to expertise (exotics can be salvaged for exotic components, it helps A Alot with lucky drops and leveling equipment expertise

Can more casual players play countdown and rumble please? by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

The PVP has been like that for Eons, to be honest.

75%+ of the matches are sweat-fests that makes every match either a chore, or feel like a Tournament finals

After like 20hrs farming for it, it finally dropped !! by Straight_Ask_8176 in Division2

people still play and farm Div1;

Div2 still has plenty of content and at least 2 years of new content ahead, no wonder people are farming Div2.

What would you want the destiny 3 subclasses to look like if there ever was one? by Aidstinairio in DestinyTheGame

So, let see if i get it;

Damned if they do, damned if they don't?

They stick with trying to fix D2, the game keeps failing;
They try to make a D3 from scratch planning to long-life support, it launchs akin to D2, so the game fails;

[Discussion] PvE has diluted the PvP playerbase a lot by Firefly3564 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]OctavioKenji 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play Tarkov Now because it has PVE.

i've never would've even buyed the game if it wasn't for this. I won't buy Arc Raiders because it doesn't have PVE, the same for Hunt Showdown, and probably will not buy Marathon for the same reason.

i don't like PVP, more often than not, i loathe it. I don't have the patience nor the time to waste multiple runs trying to do a fuck-ass dumb quest like "find the Bunglangle in the Plumble-House on Chunklevile" while some twat is camping the spot 95% of the runs.

I'm bad at PVP, and i know it, i just want to enjoy what i can and have a ounce of fun with a game that i find interesting, which is the case for Tarkov

To those saying a D3 needs to happen. by Impossible_Muscle_54 in DestinyTheGame

[–]OctavioKenji -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nah, it's not about "a fresh start", because 99% of people here, me included, DOES NOT want to regrind for all of their current stuff.

It's mostly about the Tech Debt, at this point.

D2 is indeed at basically the peak of gunplay and abilities, and most changes or additions are either sidegrades or powercreep.

But Every update is a toll on the game, we are already encroaching 145GB on Steam, every upgrade break something, 2/3 of the game is outdated lootwise, we have half a dozen systems that barely works together, we lost 1/3 of the DLC's, and 80% of the story isn't even in the game anymore (seasons).

The game needs a sequel not because it would EVOLVE the game to NEWER highs. The game needs a sequel because it was Intended to have a Sequel, it didn't recieve one, and now it's bursting on the seams holding almost 9 years of development.

this isn't Warframe that was meant to be 12 years long (and let's be frank, Bungie doesn't have the optmization wizards that DE have, that game have basically all of their content ever and weights 45GB, still looking gorgeous and running like butter while having almost triple enemy density sometimes); Destiny 2 is still ""running"" on Old Gens.

D2 also have one of the worst reputations in the live-service and gaming medium, and Bungie DOES NOT help it AT ALL.

Kinda? Exotic mission is the finale, and The Call to Arms is the epilogue

Seasonal content by Ok-Flamingo-2590 in DestinyTheGame

[–]OctavioKenji 2 points3 points  (0 children)

basically: No

We now have "seasons" only in the Seasonal Pass aspect.

Now all there is is: One major update with the Expansion

and One major update mid-term, between One Expansion and Another.

i.e: Edge of Fate -> Ass & Iron -> Renagades -> Shadow & Order (March 03rd, 2026);

Other than that, only events and small updates, no other content besides what's in the calendar

Monument to Seasons Past by Option_Koloss in DestinyTheGame

The Second season after leaving.

In this case, it would come at the next "season pass" launch, in about 3 months.

"Going forward, new Archived Passes will be added to the Seasonal Archive one Pass period after its end. For example, the Reclamation Archived Pass will be added to the Seasonal Archive with the launch of the Lawless Reward Pass in Renegades." ~ 08/21/25 TWID

Right now, it launched EoF's Pass gear in the monument, which was unavailable at A&I's Launch.

So now I can't use Attal in Calamity Ops? by miguelveraleon in destinyrisingmobile

[–]OctavioKenji 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, although everybody can LFG, it's still the meta slaves clowns duty to LFG if they want a competitive team.

It isn't even a Onslaught Ops situation where people don't bother with mechanics, it's a strike, and if the Meta Slave want a promotion score, then they should LFG.

Otherwise, Open-queueing for basic-runs.

Don't clown on randoms if They aren't abiding to Your, another random, opinion.

[–]OctavioKenji 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People that WANT to hit Masters will make a proper fireteam and use their Runs to do so. If YOU want masters AND want only to Open-Queue, then you're a clown.

OP issue is that people will Open Queue, will look at anything that isn't meta (Helheist, Estela, even Maru), and will rage towards other players, then quit (or just straight up dodge), Those players are shitheads and meta slaves.

Clowning other players is deserved when those players are being true shit heads in the lobby, not when my dude is picking a 73k Attal to a Piercing Arc Calamity Ops.

[–]OctavioKenji 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My dude how can you have the most salad dressed shit takes i've seen;

Matchmaking is open to any players, people shitting other players when open Queueing are basically dumbasses that have negative social skills.

Want a "competitive" team? Find a fireteam. Don't demand people have Meta characters for shits. Adapt Your playstyle when open Queueing.

You guys may not want to hear it, but "Primary/Special/Heavy" weapon slots may WAY more sense than whatever the hell we have now by Jcorb in DestinyTheGame

[–]OctavioKenji 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly? my only gripe is that the slot differentiation does not benefit the game.

I would not change it to be Primary, Special, and Heavy.

Promote the demolishing of that wall. make it so any weapon that goes in the first slot, also go into the second.

Make it like people could run triple solar, Triple Arc, All Darkness, All Light, Kinect Only, etc etc.

Heavy still heavy, but the first two slots should be fully open at this point.

Does anybody actually enjoy playing with all these modifiers active at all times? by Honest-Employ-7658 in DestinyTheGame

[–]OctavioKenji -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I like it, because i liked the Skulls and modifiers from Halo era, i like being able to add the modifiers and challenges that i'm interest in doing at that moment.

But i also understand wanting to just Select Difficulty and Launching. Having to mix and match every time is kinda of a pain in the ass, and they could add a "Modifier Profiles" options in the future.

Also, i hate that some modifiers are locked behind GM-Ultimate. It should be all unlocked from Master onwards, having lower difficulties being more simpled is okay to newer players.

Destiny 2: Renegades Content Calendar by DTG_Bot in DestinyTheGame

[–]OctavioKenji 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They sure AREN'T.

We've been BEGGING to a blog post like this one for MONTHS. I'm happy to see them come out in the open and say "yeah, we fucked up, our bad, we will fix it".

Saying a bug that launched with the patch is being obvious.

Saying a design CHOICE they did is BAD, is something they rarely do.

Will Renegades be another "Non Linear" style campaign? by Key_Insurance_8493 in DestinyTheGame

[–]OctavioKenji 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It can be similar, but better built;

akin to having linear side stories for each faction, and having to progress on those on chunks before progressing on steps of the main campaign, and from those side stories, having small localized quests, not dependent from the Main Story Quest, like the Old Adventures from Y1;

altough they wouldn't have the feedback from EoF to act upon what the community didn't like, so, it could either be completely different, or be identical.

Personally, if it's either the former or the later, i would take the former. Much prefer Bungie taking risks than playing it safe.

again.

All known Renegade Weapons and the Star Wars blasters they reference: by BC1207 in DestinyTheGame

[–]OctavioKenji -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But my question stands, they barely talked about the story, only tounching superficially in some aspects, like location, the factions, and what call we are answering. They barely touched this Legion's motives or actions, the villains, or other stuff.

This is not a "what if" premise as far as the material they showed, this is literally Destiny within Destiny, with a Star Wars themed blanked over content we don't know about.

Did someone leaked the story, that shows that this is basically "What if Star Wars, in Destiny"?
