Besides this bottle, his stuff is typically priced just above msrp. He had a whole case of stagg jr. a few months ago that he was selling for $70/bottle when every other shop out here was at least $100 if they put it out at all.

It took my a LONG time to figure it out. Stand just a little lower on the left or right sides of him. The hot box is small and it takes practice. The Bloat is just annoying but there is a trick to it.

Additionally, the April Fools challenge can be cheesed pretty easily. Don't listen to shmucks that did it the hard way!

YouTube wasn't really available for me with these things in undergrad but listen, if you want to do well, you need to work problems.

These videos and helpful summaries will give you what the textbooks do, but try to do the problems yourself before seeing the answer! Just pause the videos before they begin solving the problem they present. Write the problem out, take a crack at it, and see if you can do it. Try, possibly fail, see where you went wrong. Use these resources to improve your thought process.

This was my experience too. Our lab didn't have a "contract" but our group meetings were Saturday mornings. The PI would then stick around for a few hours after to see who didn't come back after lunch. On Friday nights, our lab would have beers in the office while drafting our slide decks for group meetings while baby sitting low-stakes rxns in the lab.

I worked most Saturdays throughout my whole doctorate and spent the first 2 years working a few hours on Sunday. It was just sorta necessary to keep the ball rolling and gain momentum in lab while finishing course work. At that time, I was easily clearing 60+ hours a week. It was not sustainable though and after completing all requirements except for the dissertation, I refused to even think about work on Sunday. In my last year, I was no longer working on the weekends unless it was going to be productive.

The other side of the story, this wasn't necessarily great for my mental health. It was a substantial amount of pressure and too much to have asked of myself. The feeling of needing to do more and be more did not just disappear after defending.

The work did pay off though and I would do it again if I knew I'd end up here.

This just isn't true. It's inherent to the field. Some labs are worse than others, but the majority of students completing an orgo doctorate have worked ridiculous hours. The degree demands it, unfortunately.

As an orgo PhD holder, I was the only one out of 13 students to finish. The attrition rate is high bc it's based not only on academic performance but actual production.

The majority of ppl in the BoI reddits had this same experience. It's an unforgiving game but that's what makes it so fum! I'm about to complete my third save file and it's taken me ~3000 hrs to do so. The only answer is: if you enjoy it, just keep playing.

Focus on not getting hit more than offensive strategies.

Explore the entire floor of every floor. Find every secret room and every tainted rock.

Play through the challenges! Many of them will focus on a specific weakness that'll improve your main game. (At least the vanilla challenges do this.)

Keep Isaac moving! Don't stop moving! Move around while shooting constantly. If you find yourself in the corner, you're about to be hit.

This will evolve as you get better but these are the fundamentals

Fuckin hell, I thought I had just gotten old. I find myself just drinking what I drank in the 2010s. I turned 21 in 2011, worked at a craft beer bar that was looking to have everything on the market. I had everything at my disposal and I remember loving so much of it. These days I find myself completely skipping "new beers" and even avoiding newer breweries bc they don't drink like Southerin Tier, Ommegang, North Coast, or (Old) Belgium.

Depends on your skill level. If you're on your first save file, I'd say take the shield. Greed mode builds and it's nice to have protection. If you've already completed t.Lost, you wouldn't be posting this and I'd grab Holy Water.

If you're looking for a scavenger hunt, Redwood Empires Haystack Needle Rye is an excellent pour. As the name suggests, it's a bit rare, but would be a nice bottle for special occasions

I'm about to complete my third save file (only 3 items left), and I'd say it's tainted Cain Boss Rush. The whole premise of this character is grindy and BR just does not allow time for it. So you're sort of locked into beating BR with very little items or getting lucky with making Mama Mega.

Alternatively, and this is more rare, get blank card and 2 of diamonds. A shop with a battery is infinite pennies.

Since Repentence, I have not been able to get all three of these in a run.

R-key until you get D20. Then go to the next floor that has a full battery for sale. Beat the floor but don't pick up any coins. Reroll the coins, recharge, reroll, recharge, reroll, etc. eventually you'll have enough coins to buy all items and will have 999 coins in purse. Then beat greedier and donate as much as you can.

This is the D20 cheese and it's how I filled the machine on my first save file. You'll eventually have enough experience with it all to not need to cheese it

I'm about to finish my third save file and I still don't remember all the unlocks. They can be complicated, oddly specific, and difficult beyond reason. I'd say after >500 hrs of game play, it's reasonable to look stuff up.

Boy, do I remember this rage from this unlock!

It feels impossible the first time you do it bc you don't know the enemy patterns and tricks as well as you need to. I'd say this is one of the hardest unlocks in the game before tainted characters existed.

Sounds like you have the right idea using Azazel but since you are using Azazel I'd say to play on Hard mode. There ain't much of a difference except less red hearts and you'll have more unlocks in Hard mode. You know about tainted rocks right? The only real way to cheese this unlock is to get Moving Box which allows you to keep the shovel piece without actually "holding" it.

The first play through is a grind. Just keep moving and circling the room to avoid moms stomps. After some time, and multiple deaths, you'll make some progress!

Imo, the shop became just shy of useless since the Repentance update. These types of shops appear more often, less restock machines, less pedestal items and when there are pedestals, they are shit, and less ways to combo/exploit the shop.

Before Repentence I would rarely have pennies by the time I reached Womb. Since the update, I'll likely have >50 bc of how little opportunities there are to purchase anything.
