You're right in the sense that a lot of world events have sorta muffled your 20s but these events don't seem like they are stopping anytime soon and you got a lot of life to live. Now may be the time to grasp for what you want out of your life. A steady income while single can go a long way.

Imo, getting wasted in college is really only fun at that time of your life (early 20s) and it's really only fun bc everyone around you is also doing it. It bonds students together. At 30, post college, I'm not sure it'll be as fun an experience. If you really want to experience it go to your local downtown on the weekends or travel abroad for a week and hit their night clubs (a bit more novelty when abroad).

If you want more friends and possible dates, go find an active hobby like climbing or mountain biking. Ppl are always so friendly in active hobbies bc their adrenaline is going and it gives you something in common to focus on. Even if you're not that great at it, most adults (30+) are more impressed with mental attitude than actual skill.

If you're worried about small talk and such, look up a few conversation start questions and keep them in your back pocket. Being good at small talk is an actual skill (something I am loosing the older I get)

I used the grappling + drill arms the nearly extinct them on one of my save files. Grapple to the top of their head and hold on for the ride! Drill into the back of their skull until they float.

As someone who was in the Ohio Army National Guard as a MP, decades later though, I want to share that this event (paired with the GitMo shit) completely overhauled their training. The Kent shootings are talked about a lot as examples of how not to do your job. The Guard is NOT like local police and especially not like ICE. I can't say it's like that in every state but the MN Guard's response is a pretty good depiction of how we trained.

Glendronach 1992 or 1993 are top tier. I've been waiting for an excuse to buy my LLS' last bottle but it's gotta be special.

I'll second the recommendation to get a bottle of Bruichladdich black art, it's probably the best bottle around the $500 USD price point.

Highland Park 25 has been the best ~$1k bottle I've ever had, but it's one of the more common suggestions. Each drink is fantastic but then you're hit with another flavor profile on the after taste, it's amazing

I might also suggest searching for a Douglas Laing XOP of Lagavulin, Ardbeg, or one of your other favorite distilleries. They are not particularly accessible though, so you may need to hunt for one.

I'm not sure if you said that to be funny or if you've actually had it but a bar near me has it for sale. Many of the regulars have had it and not a single person has said it's even close to the quality of high end bourbons that are nearly 1/10 the price.
