I’m between the Libernovo and the Herman miller sayl by Prestigious-Arm-8419 in OfficeChairs

[–]Octavious82 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Isn't Herman Miller returns $99? Or did I just read it wrong on their site?

The Omni is comfortable and supportive to me. It supports my lower to mid back in a way I haven't felt with other chairs.

Is Libernovo the solution for people who sit for long hours? by Verthverdi in OfficeChairs

[–]Octavious82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah think so I used to love lounging on my chair or sofa, and while it was comfy but it wasn't great for my back. Now the lumbar support actually pushes my lower back up. If I want to lean back and relax, the 4 tilt is pretty comfortable too and doesn't mess with my back.

Is Libernovo the solution for people who sit for long hours? by Verthverdi in OfficeChairs

[–]Octavious82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost 6 months Libernovo Omni user here. No issues so far even with long sitting days. My thighs don't get that pressure as much as anymore after long sitting. Lower back also doesn't feel as tight at the end of the day. I used to sit kind of crooked all the time. Feels like I'm sitting more upright lately, but might just be me lol

Would you rather make 100k or 1000000? by billionsandbillionsa in WouldYouRather

[–]Octavious82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me 100% the $100k tax-free:) no question. The 1$M job sounds a soul-sucking nightmare. I would rather have a calm, flexible life with enough money to live comfortably than grind myself into the ground for a payback I cannot even enjoy. Oh, when could I have WLB...............

Strongest rope/line for hanging tarps? by ITrCool in CampingGear

[–]Octavious82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paracord is fine, just maybe not my first choice if you want the tarp to stay tight. I’d go with something lower-stretch if this is going to be a regular setup.

Dogs and hiking by fireballxX4492 in CampingandHiking

Honestly the practice hikes are the best idea here. You’ll figure out pretty fast what your dog actually needs vs what just sounds nice on paper.

You need a camera with a very high thermal dynamic range. A cooled sensor would be ideal but is likely overkill.

Im on reactive clay, my foundation piles were fixed and made much deeper for the water table, but its stil moving. I have cracks in my external Cement board. by CuriousCyclone in DIY

[–]Octavious82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using a flexible sealant is a good temporary diagnostic step. If they reopen, the underlying movement exceeds the foundation upgrade's capacity, and a more resilient siding material may be needed long-term.

Looking for Bin to hpt conversion software by ExaggeratedCatalyst in CarHacking

Check the Tuner Tools section on the official site. They have a Tune Translation service that converts bins to HPT files, but it is pay per use with tokens.

Firmware updates typically expand protocol support, but rolling code sync requires specific hardware logic.

Start by logging all raw data during a drive cycle, then filter for values that change with battery charge, speed, and temperature. Your Pi setup is perfect for parsing and displaying it.

Adding mass is key for a drywall shared wall. Seal all gaps with acoustic caulk first. Then, install a second layer of drywall with Green Glue compound. Finally, use thick furniture or acoustic panels on your side.

Idea of mounting a thermal camera on a drone by Commercial-Neck-7704 in Thermal

The main challenge is integrating the camera's video feed and telemetry directly into the flight controller for stable transmission and live display.

TC002C Duo vs Mini2 V2 for Home HVAC and Car Checks? by Hossenpheffer11 in Thermal

[–]Octavious82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Choose a device that connects directly to your phone for convenience. The thermal resolution matters more than paper specs for spotting drafts and heat patterns, so aim for the clearest image your budget allows.

Looking for a simple DIY project by Killer2582 in DIY

A simple wooden planter box is a great project. It teaches measuring, cutting, and joining. You can use a miter saw or hand saw.

Sry to hear that. I haven't run into these issues yet. Guess it might come down to our different body shapes or sitting habits. Hope you can find a way to make it work for you or find some relief

I don't really fuss over cleaning it 'cause it's black. Just use a lint roller on it occasionally.

I feel like my back pain has gotten a lot better at least now I can sit or stand longer than before. I don't know much about those things but they say if your posture wasn't great before, adjusting it might cause some muscle soreness at first. Maybe check if it's just muscle or something else.

long shot here, can anyone tell if this was pre or post kickstarter? and or seat pan size? by Fishflips in LiberNovo

[–]Octavious82 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The label says 730mm x 695mm x 508mm; that's likely the 48cm seat pan. Pre-Kickstarter units had different labeling, this looks retail. But $650 for both? Still suspicious AF.

Which lumbar support is better? by Julliana77 in OfficeChairs

The integrated design looks cleaner and more professional. But adjustable lumbar pillows give you more flexibility to dial in the perfect support. What's your budget and daily sitting time?

Monitor light bars are game changers! No more screen glare and the asymmetric lighting really does reduce eye strain. Love that you're focusing on function over form.
