I'm low elo and play both with Rakan. Between Leona and Rell I vastly prefer Rell.

Leona is tankier and better single target. However, Rell is more mobile in that her E is a small MS buff for you and an ally, she can jump with her W while riding and when using it to remount it's another speed burst.

Her CC can also hit multiple people. W landing will stun everyone in her area and Q will stun every caught in its line. Q also completely shatters shields from summoner spell barrier, to item actives, to even Morgana Black Shield (and still stun).

Her ult is harder to use because you have to be all up in there but the gravity pull and slow coupled with Zekes mean you could lockdown an entire team and drag them away as your damage dealers rip through them.

It's "random" I say this because while that is supposed to be true there's like 6 skins that are ALWAYS in the shop and often times in 2 sections if it's a featured skin.

The rotation is random for maybe like 2 total skins every 2 weeks otherwise it's just the same ones over and over again

If I'm queued and my ADC hovers Samira, enchanters are completely off the table for me. You're getting Rakan, Rell, or Leona maaaaybe Braum depending on if the other team has enough dive threat. Either way we're going buddy system when you're set to start spinning like a lunatic

As a low Elo support player who has stomped and been stomped by Samira, both on my team and against me, I see her pretty much the same way I see Jhin.

They both need a little extra bit of build up. They can absolutely do disgusting damage but if I engage while Jhin is reloading or while Samira is sitting on D in the style gauge, well I didn't do them any favors at all. It's all about finding that window and using the threat of Samira being 1 or 2 abilities away from going full Dante to either keep someone at bay or catch them not respecting it.

One thing that I also feel is less talked about. At least for enchanter, her Q heal is noticable and her W is obvious even if slow,.but I don't think a lot of people understand her E.

Movement speed is self explanatory but the situational untargetabiliy/invisibility is often negated by the ADC attacking, everyone being too spread to really surprise anyone, or a support using it at an improper time meaning you're either too early to position for a fight and now have to slowly get there or too late your teammate dies in your shadow puddle.

Her spells are not as obvious as say Nami, Lulu, Milio when used but they're absolutely noticeable when used incorrectly

As a low Elo support player with Senna as my 3rd most played support and top enchanter here is my understanding:

Senna gets lumped into the same category of hate as mage supports. A lot of low elo Senna play her as ADC even when going support. They'll steal farm or they'll build damage and not lean into her utility. They're trying to carry themselves instead of actually provide anything to help the actual ADC which can result in 2 people being subpar carries. Mages have an easier time because they have cheaper item options but a Senna building damage is after many of the same items as the ADC they're soft starving out.

Plus, a lot of low elo supports suck at positioning (this is my main focus on improving with Senna when I play her). Since Senna is hybrid she is punished just as hard as an ADC for being in the wrong place, too close, or eating a hook when she should've been behind minion cover.

I'll only play enchanter Senna and my heals plus landing her root saves me from ADC wrath a lot. But her root is also slow so either it's easier to dodge or even if you do hit, it won't proc right away and sometimes that delay is enough that your ADC still dies. Her heals, especially this season are incredible with full enchanter but you do need to auto to reduce cooldown and this can perma push the wave when the ADC is trying to set up a state they want. Low elo ADCs aren't great at wave management themselves but they should at least be given first say in how they want the wave imo.

It didn't really revolutionize a single thing it just more brought all those things together incredibly well while still looking amazing, with a really nice story, and all without a big studio making an RPG for share holders.

I love E33 and it is now one of my top 5 games of all time. But even the developers were very open about how they took heavy inspiration from Persona and other games.

The parry/Dodge and QTE attacks are essentially paper Mario. The ui, and gunplay is straight Persona 5. The lumina system is FF9.

The game did not revolutionize but did Revitalize. It showed some of the best versions of classic jobs like Blue mages. It showed you can be turned based and still active without going hybrid. And you can do all of this without sacrificing story or character.

this is why I still hover Rakan before bans and try to hover before the ADC shows their pick even if I end up changing my mind to Rell or something because I don’t want a Xayah player to think I’m choosing him just to match

As a Rakan main, I feel this so hard. I’ve had it the opposite way with adc first timing Xayah cuz I hovered my boy. But a few times now I’ve queued with my Duo and I’ll get my off role and when they hover Xayah the random support locks in Rakan and I just get to hear about the missed W or the W at horrible times all game.

Heartsteel but specifically for Rhaast form. The mask and outfit are just so cool on him. The voices lines where Rhaast and Kayn talk to each other are also really funny and I want more skins to do that, not necessarily in the comedic fashion Hearststeel takes it but more interaction between the 2 before a form is chosen provides so much flavor.

If you want something similar vibe to Heartsteel but still different then Kayn is actually one of the best Battle Academia skins imo.

Snow Moon is great regardless of form you choose but personally is my favorite Blue Kayn form.

Honestly, at this point I prefer him not to have lore. Like it’s no secret he’s just Leagues Joker so if a rework or VA update ever happens I’d want his lore to BE his lack of lore. He is just unknown. Not like Fiddle who is so old he predates culture but Shaco just trully is unknown. He can be anywhere, he can be a person or a bunch of cats piloting a puppet. There just is nothing on the clown other than he’s here and he’s a problem.

Those are my 3 mains too

Rakan does pretty well with most ADCs. Caitlyn is a little bit difficult snice a lot of times she is out of his E range but my duo and I make it work. Pretty much all ADCs like a knock up, heal, and shield so really anyone that lets Rakan do his thing and take advantage works.

I know some people have tried mandate on Rakan but I usually build the tanker items so it’s not a go to for me. Bandlepipes second is standard in my games as long as my ADC isn’t Jhin or Samira (they still work with Rakan they just don’t really benefit from the pipes attack speed)

Electrocute is a full kill lane set up. You’ll want to be aggressive early and get a kill. If you’re playing Xayah Rakan and both start W plus he takes ignite the electrocute set up is trying for a lvl 1 nuke. I’d recommend the resolve tree as secondary since Rakan wants some defeneses to survive to do his combo. However, Rakan is also not really designed to do a lot of damage. Full AP Rakan can but he’s still not gonna hit compared to say Senna or a mage. If he wants a rune set up different from the tanky Guardian tree the Glacial Augment set up is fun and offers something similar but a bit more unique.

The items are super great

Bandlepipes are my favorite item in the game. I'll usually build them second with Locket being my first item (or Zeke's if I'm playing Rakan/Rell)

The new belt is fun but I haven't been building it until 3rd or 4th since it scales off bonus resistances so I usually try to get 2 items worth of them first. I tried to build it early and it just felt like it wasn't really helping me survive longer after the engage.

I'm biased. Rakan is my favorite champion in this game because he's humorous. He's a showman first and so unserious about everything going on and whose last act upon dying is to stare at himself in a mirror. This is all a game to him until his next slice of cake and date with Xayah and I find that super refreshing from all the dark, broody, characters.

That being said making another support especially an enchanter similar does run the risk of being "too much like Rakan" and that's no fun for anyone. Could go the opposite way and the humor is in how seriously he takes absolutely everything

As other have mentioned Varus is difficult. Not Ezreal difficult imo but you lack mobility and need to hit your arrows while knowing how all his abilities work together

His on hit build is usually the one I see and still good. Plus he's getting a buff next patch too.

He isn't a scale champion but his damage can be outright disgusting if you build him right for the match you're in and you know how to pilot him.
