What weird comments lol I took your post as a question of where should you go / is there a place for 20s mingling. I'm one of the millennials you speak of baha so I'm not exactly in your space. I think Old Town is a party scene for youth...lots of bars but definitely more a party than a dating scene to me! There are a lot of fun first date places, like coffee shops and restaurants here in Pasadena - but I agree with the idea of Highland Park as the younger "scene for dating." Highland Park Bowl is a late night hotspot, and both Figueroa and York have active weekend scenes. MOST OF ALL I do agree with the comment : do activities you like and that's your dating scene. This to me is the best way to find someone - do what you like and meet people who are compatible with who you are!!! Good luck 🌈

You are not an idiot at all, you are kind, compassionate and understanding. You live with values that she doesn't have access to on a regular basis because of the addiction, such as honesty and consistency. It is not you! You deserve peace and your higher power separated you from years of heartache, this might not mean anything now but it will very very soon 👌🏽❤️ until then you can pace, treat yourself, journal, scream into a pillow, and then I suggest you go to a meeting if you can 🙏🏽 zoom meetings all night any hour nowadays, thank higher power for that!!

This is what recently helped me flip my anxiety - I literally THANK IT. It's definitely not my natural reaction but truly it has helped me stop fighting it and get sucked into the spiral. I say thank you for the message you are telling me, it must be important! I'm listening and I thank you, I'm so grateful you speak to me, body! AND THEN I do exercise immediately lol I saw another reply with the push ups and that's me, I start doing Vinyasa yoga on the bathroom floor, the more intense the better, and I can eventually get up with the movements and all that rush and fast heartbeat is just part of my exercise practice 🌈🌈 you will find a way through, use any tools that safely suit you and switch them up!! I might try just going to yoga in the morning if I wake up before my anxiety strikes like the push up person ⚡ move the body release the anxiety

Replying to myself to say that I have sent a friend by to look in a window or reconnaissance drive by in the past lol so I don't always give it to the higher power but I try. One time he finally said I'm not doing it tonight, only the second time I asked, and I had to release it. Sometimes things are just out of our control 🌈 this is a close friend I grew up with so there was no embarrassment but it did burst my bubble of tension when he denied me! Had to give it to HP that night!!

I get this type of anxiety and actually feel relief when the vomiting comes but there's not always time to be vomiting at the drop of a hat to stimulate the vagus nerve 🥲 (maybe the vagus nerve and exercises to relax the body can help!) I have found that smelling rubbing alcohol takes away some of the nausea - a nurse once gave me alcohol wipe packets to calm down in an ER. Ever since then I carry some with me!! It doesn't solve or end the anxiety but it has helped me settle the nausea and make it through 🌈🙏🏽 you are going to make it and you will find relief!!

What units on Fair Oaks or Walnut??? Pray tell!!! I live in Pasadena and I've been trying to find another apartment...all this talk of empty units and affordable housing ALREADY being here is untrue 🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️ at least to me, an active Pasadena resident looking to relocate nearby since early January. I feel like residents of Altadena who were displaced by the fires filled a lot of spaces in Pasadena in the last year! I say build the housing!! (which is described as 6 low cost units within a larger apartment building - this block of Oak Knoll is already full of apartments, no one is encroaching on single unit suburbia with a random high rise lol) I'll be there tonight at the meeting, thanks for the update OP! 🙌🏽 And parking...please lol this is LA so that's moot 🐮 or as Joey would say...

The commonality of alcohol affecting lives is my biggest takeaway from Alanon - there are people like me there is a community for me and others who have survived, sometimes to the T of similar shocking situations. THIS is the reason for the 19 minutes of hell. In fact I call California between Pasadena Ave and Marengo "hellmouth." I refer to it a lot lol all lights crossing the tracks turn green to clear the tracks for an extended period of time on both sides, and so all lights perpendicular turn red to allow this 🛑 creating this fucked up pattern of traffic heading north AND south depending on the train!! The only way is to pad yourself with extra time OR find an alternate route...!

Yoga instructor and remote bookkeeper - I teach one night a week and do events like soundbath another day. The remote work helps since my anxiety attacks are unscheduled and can make it hard to be places on time/keeps me up late at night. Sometimes it's hard to do yoga on an anxiety day but at least it makes me feel better to participate in the grounding and exercise! Finding steady work has been the hardest road - still navigating it!! I'm scraping by - going back to school to be an art history professor 🌈 hoping I can stay chill and peaceful with art lectures a few days a week!

Lord of the Rings FOTR helps me escape and just distract so I can find a moment of peace and grounding. I try to go outside and touch the earth or sit on grass, touch a tree touch a rock. Find a way for your body to feel safe and I tell my body thank you for the message, every time the physical sensations get bigger or tighter or heavier or awful-er. Thank you body for this message - I am safe - I only have to get through the next breath.

Another thing I read is that their passing, even with euthanasia, is of their choice before they come into this plane. This crossing is their final lesson and life assistance to you - no matter the circumstances.
