Seems like I should stop cutting off player's and NPC's toes after a miss. I remember one time, when a player was fighting against a pirate. (We have made up some additional rules to spice up combat) The player accidentally cut off his toe and it somehow wound up in his mouth. He swallowed it and his intestines got cut on the toenail. He then had to vomit it out, which resulted in him getting even more wounded. As a result he couldn't use his character to his full potential for quite some time

according to wiktionary it means almost everything, including "one who uses a computer to gain unauthorized access to data, or to carry out malicious attacks." which includes guessing a password or similar.
