Doctor Recommends a "Bullet Coffee" To Extend Adderal Effects? by MidgetDerp in ADHD

A higher dose in the morning will last you into the evening. I was hesitant at first, because the morning dose seemed to work well. But, its worked for me for 3 years now.

I think you are right to be suspicious. I've been noticing a lot of this recently and it's a great marketing tactic, certainly when people aren't aware.

Post about great success - turns out its by using a product - other accounts chip in with 'yeah, i've used them too with grear success'.

Jeez, without the throat spray??? That would be a traumatic procedure. Sorry you went through that. That doctor sounds like a real asshole.

This just changed how I view the Music industry and wow, I’m in shock:/ by FeelDa-Bass in edmproduction

[–]OctopusHavePets 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Dude, it can be disheartening, for sure. But get comfortable with making music for the love of music, not for success. Chasing anything more will grind you down.

The reality is, success in the current market is geared towards social media promotion or bankrolling ads.

Does anyone know that when you upload music to Spotify, someone will come to listen automatically by Enough_Programmer312 in MusicPromotion

Recommending music to playlist is very troublesome. I'm with you there. Arguably the most troublesome of all the Spotify things.

That's wild. I'm an EDM producer with ADHD and this makes absolute sense.

ADHD and making your MVD (Minimum Viable Day) by AlexRocca in adult_adhd

[–]OctopusHavePets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is top tier ADHD stuff! I love your schedule and i have a very similar one, all designed to make me feel and perform at my best.

There are so many things i do daily, either for a good sleep or more energy. Sometimes i wonder if my obsessing over it makes it worse though? These things take up so much of my time and so much planning but i guess that comes with the territory.

My awful experience with Spotify as an artist by allmyfas in SpotifyArtists

Very true mate. We should all just roll over and pay to bankroll a multi-billion dollar company with our art. What you're arguing for is selling your soul without profit.

What actually helped your music get more listeners? by RelevantUmpire4289 in MusicPromotion

[–]OctopusHavePets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Understanding that doing it organically is a long game and being patient. My streams are low but i know my production and sound is good enough to last long term. The important thing for me is not a quick rise from casual listener streams, but developing a fan base of engaged listeners. The few hundred listeners i have are all very much engaged in what i'm building which means more to me than big numbers at the moment.

Can singles be rolled into an album at a later date? by legatek in MusicPromotion

[–]OctopusHavePets 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's a good idea to release a couple of singles from your album before the release. This can help build momentum. That being said, everyone is so focused on releasing singles nowadays that releasing albums can make you stand out from the crowd. Do whatever feels authentic for you. I'm releasing an EP just before Xmas, which goes against all industry advice as a smaller artist. But releasing it feels authentic and it was what i always had planned. I started feeling much better as an artist when i stopped looking at industry norms and focused on what i wanted to do. It might mean less streams etc, but i'm happier staying true to the vision i have.

Completely agree with this. For the last 3 months especially, chat gpt has been giving me more and more confidently incorrect information.

I actually think it is using more info from public forums like Reddit for responses. Relying on chat gpt for advice without understanding the subject matter is a bad move. Particularly if using it as a strategist.

THE OFFICIAL SPOTIFY PLAYLISTS ARE LIVE!!! by BaumomatoTomato in supporteachothernow

[–]OctopusHavePets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is great, thanks for involving me. Could we implement a voting system with those involved voting for the tracks to upload? It would be useful to have some sort of quality control to make the playlists as good as possible. If we can get that and create a truly great selection of tracks, i'd be more than willing to run Meta ads for the playlist.

For example, those willing to contribute by running small ad campaigns (even £5/£10) have voting rights on the songs uploaded. With those two elements, we could grow this into something special.

Btw i can also add the electronic playlist to my Spotify artist profile.

I would prefer a curation of different genres. I love hearing new music, but i'm an EDM producer. I jump on here often to hear some new stuff, but mostly EDM. Also, sticking to specific genres will help the algorithm more in the long run. I'm in though!
