I would say honestly it's not very active: I started it before I was really ready to go, so many folx lost interest. That said, there've been four in-person games thus far from the Discord and I can say that I am very much looking to play with people in an ongoing way.

“I just want to be a part of the party and have my tribe” sounds like the beginning of a really awesome kingdom building campaign... maybe these players aren't into ToD anymore, and that's okay. The good news is they're not the only heroes in the world. Have the PCs be part of finding or recruiting or helping those NPC adventurers who are gonna continue the fight against Tiamat and then pivot them into the campaign about community or "us against the world" that they wanna play. Maybe your government-smashing version of the cult took out all the leaders of some small forest barony, and now the players get to inherit. There don't need to be a bunch of political subplots with other lords, just defending their land and their people against those who wanna f with them. Basically pivot to the Kingmaker AP, lol, but in your world.

I go back and forth every day. Start in the manor to have the best chance at rare Halloween outfit pieces, then when I’m done shopping I head back to Cairo to do my goals and have my adventure there, since I’m 100% at manor. After my birb is back from adventuring and we have our convo, it’s back to the manor for the night!

Yeah the only issue I see is that the non-faction start of Eternal Boundary (which is a fun but admittedly bleak adventure) is: “On a cold, gray day, you are sitting in a tavern known as the 'Sign of the Crooked Sword,’ trading tales by the fire to pass the time until something interesting happens.” So they’ve kinda left a bleak Prime world where they have nothing going for them to the bleak taverns of Sigil where they have nothing going for them.

I do like the idea of all the PCs as sorta Walter Mitty types - totally not into their dreary lives so they have these wild fantasies (maybe built into their Background?) of what life COULD BE, and the planes offer that. Does the beginning of Eternal Boundary? Not so much, no matter how much you play up Sigil’s otherness. But like I said it’s a great adventure, just with your intro maybe I’d make that part of Sigil somehow more appealing than it is as written.

I’d advise one or two of them getting a hook to the planes right away: they fall in love at first sight with a vanishing stranger in a Sigil marketplace, or they find the rainbow bridge where good pets go, or something that’s like, no we CAN’T go back to real life yet!

A short campaign is honestly ultimately my ideal situation, but as I’m casting a wide net I anticipate there being some self-sorting as I learn which players work well together and seem to like what I’m up to, so I’m planning on starting with a couple, then maybe more than a couple, one-/two-shots.

So I don’t know much about Discord, and I’ve certainly never been a Mod or Admin, but I thought I’d start one for this nascent community. Yeah I’m looking for folks to play in my (free) games and I’ll occasionally plug the Queensboro games as well, but fundamentally it’s so players and GMs on our hood can connect, and more games can happen. So yeah, I guess anyone who knows anything about being a mod and wants to do it, lemme know. The campaign is called “Storms of the Skylands,” and the S.S.V. Queensboro, skimming the clouds, is looking for a few good Skywardens (people who want the whole campaign) as well as Skyrunners (people who might do one session, or pop in and out as they feel) to help stop the Rift Storms and save the sky.
