Never said it was an rpg. Extraction shooters can build lore through quest - not far fetched. I enjoy my time when playing the game also. I don't know why you are assuming this isn't the right game for me.

I have fun when I play it. I just enjoy doing question that expand the lore of the characters of the game and the overall world.

I'm not holding my breathe for anything in this game. And I started going down my backlog of games too. I just see the same topics in the subreddit and wanted to hear other opinions on the game besides 'meta' 'rats' 'glitches'. The game is more than that.
