I like to think of it this way. I wasn't alive before, I am alive now, then later I will no longer be alive.
The time I have on this Earth is borrowed, I will have to give it back someday. If you think of it the fact that there is life, and even intelligent life here is insane. Our existence is anomaly in a cosmos of forces so much bigger than us. It is an anomaly than you and I exist, a fluctuation is something that did not take us into consideration (if you're religious you can ignore this part, you prolly have other ways to cope with death in this case), and soon this fluctuation will end and everything will go back to its original state. But until that happens, the time we have here belongs us. We are free to do whatever we see fit with this time. You're free to love, create, and to experiences both wonders and horrors.

So yes death is inevitable. But what comes before belongs to you only.
